@@imranabdulrazak7408This has nothing to do with Marvel Comics
but this would imply Faye is also part god and part giant, which changes everything, also if Thor's mother had died because of him, then it wouldn't be because of Mjohnir because it wasnt forged until after his mothers death, as mentioned in Lost Pages of Norse Myth podcast Chapter 5 "The Forging of Levaithan" and Chapter 8 "The Great War" for GOW
I'm assuming they had the same mom different dad so Faye's dad is most likely a giant as well
@@mariuspatrick4524most logical and plausible thought
I have a theory that Thor didn't kill his mother, but rather Odin did in the Guise of Thor while Thor was blackout drunk. He then told Thor that Thor killed his mother in a drunken rage, which is why Thor is so... broken. Why he just accepted that he was made to be a destroyer. He already killed the only person who ever showed him genuine kindness, may as well drink until he forgets that and if that makes him useful to his father, all the better.

@@giratina2825 "What?"
@@TrunksOfTheFuture " Don't matter."
Also when your in the first Thor fight when you throw the axe and he throws the hammer it makes the frozen lightning bolt and Thors line of dialogue is “this seems familiar”
They should do a Solo game with faye being the main character and all the events that we learn about in the side missions from faye starting rebellion with dwarves to fighting Thor and ending with a short fight with Kratos upon there first meeting then ending with them talking maybe even a kiss which fills in the gaps and can explain some things visually that have been only mentioned....... JUST A THOUGHT!!!! 😁
Also we could see brok and sindri make her the Axe because they also had met her before!!!
Wish this had been looked into more in the games
Which is why when you fight Thor at the start of the game and the lightning freezes he says “this feels familiar”
so basicly an avarage sibling fight but with godly powers and over the top lore behind it
got it
These games are straight masterpieces i just beat ragnarok and it made me want to get the collector's edition
"this feels familiar" explains a lot
That’s a really good theory actually
This is something I would like to see the devs expand on in a future gow game, possibly show the situation leading up to the whole fight between faye and thor as a way to tell fayes story from the past.
Wait so, that means Odin is Atreus’ grandfather. Thor, Baldur, Tyr, and Heimdall are Atreus’ uncles. Which means Thrud, Magni, and Modi are Atreus’ COUSINS??? That would also make Kratos the brother in law of Thor, Baldur, Heimdall, and Tyr, making Thrud, Magni, and Modi Kratos’ niece and nephews. That would also make Freya Kratos’ aunt, since Baldur and Kratos are brothers in law and Freya is Baldur’s mother. That would also make Freya Atreus’ great aunt.
Yeah, the game really doesn’t put much emphasis on just how old Freya is compared to everyone else, she just aged a little bit gracefully.
Damn, so in a sense, kratos killed some more family members in norse mythology then. Wow, this man can't get a break
nah... cause Faye is a full giant. She's not Odin's.
So.... then this makes Atrius/Loki Odin's true grandson?
Not yet
A lot of people didn't explore this area enough. They literally tell you why they fought after cleansing the land.
This is false, Thor and Faye are not siblings, Faye is a full giant, and if the original poster had actually fucking read any of the fucking texts in game, he would know that he is dead wrong
You're right... if the creators of the game kept strictly to the texts, which we already know they didn't, but even if they did, no need to be a dick about it
@@thisishowitends Bro are you actually complaining ABT words on a yt comment?
Odin married Jorrd and had thor and I think Jorrd had faye from a different father

Now that's madness
Thor in this has so much depth inthe story i started liking him instantly even more than the Marvel version. Amazing job they did with thor
Imagine kratos find out 👀
O button appeared, and that's how boy was made 😂
Lol little does little Atreus knows he’s with his uncle😂
Man like Atreus has the blood of Thor, Faye, Kratos and Zeus🥶🥶
This kid solo's all Pantheons
That would mean atreus’s grandfathers are both odin and zeus 🤯🤯
During the first fight in GOW ragna rock when the lighting froze thor said it looked familiar to him
foreshadowing his fight with faye
Those are the only few sidequests in the game that i skipped the dialogue of, good to know the backstory in a nutshell
This is not the info they give tho
This for me was the biggest plot hole that you now filled for me makes perfect sense
I would give many things to see this fight
So that makes Atreus, thors nephew
So Odin is Atreus's Grandfather by blood? Crazy.
That would also make Baldur, Tyr, Thor, and Heimdall Atreus’ uncles by blood. Meaning Thrud, Magni, and Modi are Atreus’ blood cousins. Making Baldur, Tyr, Thor, and Heimdall Kratos’ brothers in law, meaning Thrud, magni, and modi are all Kratos niece and nephews. And if Baldur’s mother is Freya, and Baldur and Kratos are brothers in law, that makes Freya Kratos’ aunt and Odin Kratos’ father in law💀💀💀
Thats why Thor says "That looks familliar" while creating the lightning in midgard
So Atreus was with his uncle during those missions? Brings a whole new perspective to him trying to talk no jutsu Thor
I’ve only just noticed that Faye is Deborah Ann woll. I can’t believe It took me this long to notice
So Kratos ran out of his own siblings that he's now resorted to killing his in laws 😅
That makes Atreus Thor's nephew! wow......
So now Atreus’s grandfathers are Zeus and Odin?
Imagine grown up atreus /loki 🥵🥵🥶

So now i know why thor said "This feels familiar" on thier fight
Damn so doesn't this Odin - Atreus grandpoppa
It never really struck that Faye would be the vengeance type.
Ymir was a primordial, basically considered a titan. Odin is one of the sons of Ymir, and one of the first Aesir gods. So technically, Odin is also a giant.
Could also explain in the first game how when Atreus found out he was a god, and got mad the weather changed
Probably a stretch
Was I the only person who saw that and immediately said, “Oh Faye Could throw hands.” I mean Brock and Sindri said they made the leviathan axe for her. Was it supposed to be a mystery? Kratos hadn’t ever been there to fight Thor.
i think that’s why thor said “this feels familiar” in there first fight with kratos” but he couldn’t remember because he was sober at that point but not back than
I would like to see a prequel dlc with Faye as main character to see what all happened.
So, yall remember in the 2018 game when brok and sindri said they made the axe for feya to make up for making mjolnir. Not the biggest stretch of the imagination to say they fought, probably because thor killed her people and swore to kill them all
One thing I didn't like about the game was how so many things either weren't explained or were poorly explained.
So that’s why Thor in the first fight said “this feels familiar”
Where was this?
No wonder ! Now it all makes sense.. Odin stated Thor was half Giant to Loki..
I'm like: whaaaaa.. Really ? Interesting
Thats what Fjorgan looked like?
Damn I need to keep it together and not know where she sits often
She fought him because he didn't go for thanos's head, and Matt got erased in the snap
I pictured Faye's backstory similar to Katara from Avatar the last airbender.
Faye is adopted by a human family, thor attacks and the mother sacrifices herself by lying that she is the last giant in midgard protecting faye.
Honestly makes sense
I wanna see this fight
Dang Thor gonna have a family of all the Pathons
Kratos: I killed my father Atreus:I killed one of my cousins
Is this from real Norse mythology or is it from the mythos from the game?
We all know this isnt why Odin mistreats Thor. If he really did unapprove his drinking behavior why would he try to get him back into drinking at krato's house and said "you're no fun anymore" and back at Asgard said "I liked you better as a drunk"
That whould make sense because at the start where thir and kratos 1v1 the tree thing happened and he said that look familiar
That's probably why he said this feels familiar when fighting kratos
So Atreus is the grandson of Odin AND Zeus?!
Thor: We are destroyers.
Kratos: No more.
Wait a minute does that mean Thor and Loki are uncle and nephew I don't know I just say that
That means Atreus stabbed his cousin in the neck, following his dads footsteps haha. Killing his family members.
So much brain so much hurt. So much
Ok. Here's the problem with that theory: in some lore from God of war 2018, it states that thor's mother died in child birth birthing thor. Odin was never the same after and used thor to kill who he wanted dead. We have no idea who Faye is family to except that she's a giant and she went against the giants' ways to protect her future husband and child. We also know that Faye was the last jotnar guardian in Midgard and tasked the huldra Brothers to make the leviathan axe. It was the last project they did together that they could agree on. Faye then went to vanaheim with mead that would never empty. A crazy drinker like thor couldn't resist that while hunting his target. That much is all we know is true between thor and Faye. He never realized he fought Laufey the just. He always wanted to fight her but they thought she died out or was hidden. Anything beyond that is speculation.
Thank you, a lot of people sound like they've never even played or watched the game
Thor is always drunk when he fights
This information isn't in the game nor is it in the novel where did you get this information
I replayed GOW Bold new beginning then GOW Ragnorak recently in order so the storyline was right as I didn’t last time & wasn’t truly paying attention to the story like I should have. & it got me thinking how is Thor still worthy of Mjolinir after all the bad things he’s done? Killing his own kind not too mention killing his own mother & fighting a brutal brawl that could have ended in death w his sister? He was gonna kill Atreus. Wouldn’t all these things make him unworthy? Or does worthiness have nothing to do it? Or Was it just a hammer made by the dwarves to be super powerful for the person wielding it?
Atreus’s grandfathers are odin and Zeus💀💀💀 His Family from mother side is norse gods and from father side are greek gods?! That just insane!!!
You know what that actually makes sense Faye and Thor being siblings
So that’s why Thor said “this feel familiar” when he fought kratos
Is this true? I remember 100% ragnorak and this side mission but I don't remember them being siblings
One day, Thor was drinking....
Atreus grandfather from mother side is odin and from father side Zeus thats crazy
So when he shouts at kratos at thee end of their cataclysmic boss battle “Do you know? … what I’ve done” he accidentally murdered his own mother? No one he stays drunk up
I do want a faye dlc, i could see them making faye a playable. they said she fought with rage like kratos, had super strength, and the axe. Good theory, the game alluded to her being a leader in a previous failed revolution and a protector of the weak. So i think thor and her just fought over the innocents killed there from thors fun, not necessarily their mother being killed there. assuming they are siblings. I could see them being brother and sister, though. The hair colors are sus. I think odin had thor kill all the giants to punish faye for her actions of leading a revolution against him. She had to live with that for a while anyways, if their deaths were to be any punishment. Also, it's sus nobody had trouble finding the cabin. Baldur, thor, and odin knew where they were the whole time. Odin knew faye was a fighter, but he didn't want her in valhalla. So maybe he trapped faye in those woods at that cabin and cursed her with a sickness that made her die slowly, maybe a hereditary sickness that atreus inherited? specifically, vanir magic odin learned from freya? This would explain to me how freya knew immediately what she needed to "heal" Atreus when he came down with a sickness that wasn't explained to us all too well. Didn't atreaus also fail to rage until that "sickness" was lifted? Like the sickness/hereditary curse, maybe suppressed his mothers Godhood and also his? Idk, just theories since we're doing that.
I wish they had left the original Thor from the end of the first god of war. If you finish the game and go back home Thor will come find you but he looks so different from what we get in ragnarok
Now Thor sounds even closer to Kratos, they both have very similar pasts
thaaats why he said this feels familiar. I need to finish everything in the game
To clarify, Faye and Thor are likely half siblings not full. So Faye is still full giant and Atreus isnt related by blood to any asgardian other than Thor who is his uncle.
