As an Adenomyosis patient it's refreshing to come across an upto date discussion on this disease with specialists in the know. I find it's left out of discussions all too often. Finding a Dr willing to investigate causes of symptoms is difficult, and finding information when newly diagnosed isn't all that easy. Plenty of support and information on endo, I don't feel there is quite the same for Adeno patient's. Adeno can go hand in hand with endo but not often discussed. 💜💛

46:18 Has the role of estrogen in adenomyosis, endometriosis and fibroids been discussed by Endo Summit, yet, please? Also have breast fibroids and cysts been discussed? And any correlation between all of these conditions?

I agree I have high estrogen, I swear it’s the culprit.

What if you have it post menopause

It is possible to have an adenomyotic uterus post menopause, and yes technically it could cause pain but for most, unlike endometriosis which wouldn't see a change post menopause, adenomyosis for most, menopause will stop the adenomyosis pain. You could still have pain from a fibroid, the bladder, the pelvic floor, or a hernia OR more likely, endometriosis left behind without being excised.
You would need to see a specialist who would evaluate these pain generators and excise the endo. At that time you could all make a decision about what you wanted to do with your uterus.

Vikki I’ve seen a few people ask this question. And not recieving an answer. I’m wondering if the uterus is causing all the Adenomyosis symptoms. Hence why they remove it.

Best remedy for adenomyosis symptoms: NAC! When diagnosed in 2021 after endless back pain (no chiropractor or new mattress could fix), heavy periods with cramps that felt like childbirth etc. Started NAC and saw immediate relief and took it daily initially then got down to only taking it right before my menses. So helpful!
