People need to learn how to handle fish properly as well as knowing the rules. Your leader can't be over 4' and striking at the end of your drift is illegal because that is the intention to snag. It also spooks the fish and makes it much harder for people who are fishing properly to hook up. Don't ruin it for others and do yourself a favor and learn the proper rules and etiquette.
This is just a snag/floss hole now like many of the other spots on the Vedder... Most guys that fish this spot and others, either don't care or don't know any better.
any length of leader is legal you elitist snob. some people fish for food. and it's legal. if you really cared about fish you would not even bother fishing while they are spawning.

Could you state where the leader restriction can be found in the regs?
