Resident Evil 3 Remake is the prime example of this, city streets section is pretty good and then it goes down the drain. Funny thing is that the entire section is playable in RE3R demo, you can literally expirence the best part of the game in a demo.
dave the diver is the biggest example of this I can think of, I still finished the game and I'm glad I did but the start was so much better than everything after
@@CarlosDiaz-fs6cv Absolutely 100% agree, after Rom, every story boss is just... underwhelming, easy and... boring? the DLC lowkey carries the entire game, still an amazing game overall though
It looks like a common issue for modern games of medium-large size - they simply become boring because they're too long. BTW, there is a proposal to make one or few videos of games that are lasting just enough time (meaning they do not leave a feeling of soo short or too long experience) - good example of such game is Darkness 2 from my POV. P.S. Really great channel, thanks a lot for your efforts!
I agree with BOTW. But I also felt like that with TOTK as well, though less so... And I think it's because while there are "infinite possibilities"... You are just kind of traversing the land, collecting stuff, doing shrines that vary wildly in quality, but are most just okay at best, and fighting enemies. And that kind of makes the world feel like there just isn't much to engage with sometimes. And that really starts to set in in the later end of the game, when you play through it reasonably thoroughly.
I'm pretty sure Shadow of War had it's end game nerfed. I was actually bummed because I was looking forward to the grind but right when I got to it they nerfed it.
This might be a controversial opinion, but Final Fantasy 6. I played this game about a year ago for the first time ever and I loved the first half of the game. I did not enjoy the world of the ruin section. I actually stopped playing part way through this section because I kept getting killed over and over again and I was having a difficult time navigating around without a walkthrough.
I will go to my grave with deep regret over having purchased Brutal Legend with my own money which wasn't easy to come by in Highschool. I loved Tenacious D, but by the time I got to Brutal Legend expecting to like it, I realized that Jack Black is extremely one note as an actor/person in the same way Will Ferrell is. Hated the humor, hated the rock, hated everything about that game and the crappy stiff dollike animations. Horrible.
I can think a lot of games. Dead Space has this issue. First it's amazing. It's so damn immersive and atmospheric. But the levels are all the same. Just mostly rusty dark empty corridors. Unreal 1- Unreal started out so strong, immersive and beautiful. but the combat is very repetitive and there are way too many puzzles. I just kept going through the motions to see the next pretty location and what it would look like. MGSV- Not finished Alone in the Dark 3 Duke Nukem 3D Every Sonic the hedgehog genesis game
I know nobody loves this game but dead Rising 4 I think it was pretty great when It still is in the mall, once you get outside it really changes only for the worst. Dishonored 2 I think by the time I was in the final 2 missions I was kicking so much ass to the point where it was effortless and it kinda sucked, I had the same problem with bioshock 2. ❤x
I 100%d need for speed underground 2 when it came out... maybe my favorite racing game ever...i agree that the end races are incredibly frustrating and difficult... lots and lots of restarts from crashing because you have to be perfect to win.
Shush. Dual destinies is a lot better. It's easier and the main villain isn't as interesting, I'll give you that, but all the cases are better then in Apollo Justice (Maybe except for the 1st two cases. But even those are still good)
@lukasvokurka9224 Nope, it sucks but it's not the worst in the series though. That honor goes to either Layton vs Phoenix Wright or Great Ace Attorney.
Yeah first half and dlc are bangers. Mid way is so so. Micolash is crap. One reborn: everything about the boss is amazing…except the actual fight. Rom blows. Nurse is so so. Gehrman is dope

Brutal Legend is the DEFINITION of this, omg
How about this: 10 games with the best plot twist.
Brutal Legend is such a gem an rts, a hack n slash and driving game
dave the diver is the biggest example of this I can think of, I still finished the game and I'm glad I did but the start was so much better than everything after
Dark Souls 1 epitomizes peaking early.
It peaks mid way if we are being accurate. After the lord vessel it’s mid
So does bloodboorne, not including dlc
@@CarlosDiaz-fs6cvhard disagree, bloodborne is amazing all the way through I never got bored

Nearly all Resident Evil games. Most of them start with cool levels and then seem to lead some generic lab.
True, they usually follow the same structure but RE1 and 4 are really groundbreaking for their time.
How about games that peak later on...for me it was the Witcher 3 wild hunt
I'm quite particular when committing to listening to someone for 20-25 minutes, but I can listen to you for hours. Well done, sir.
Totally Tubular peaked this video 10/10
I'm part of the like 0.7% that got the platinum trophy for The Quarry. Love that game.
I actually really enjoyed the Action-RTS aspect of Brütal Legend.
Xenogears is a game that was really good until the second disk. After that it felt like the game ran out of development time.
For me the true definition of this is Persona 5, really captured me with its first 6 hours then dropped off hard and became fairly monotonous.
I think TOU2 for sure. Such a good game at first then was soooo dragged out
Nah
I'm pretty sure Shadow of War had it's end game nerfed. I was actually bummed because I was looking forward to the grind but right when I got to it they nerfed it.
I actually agree with everything you said
Omg Totally Tubular Jonathan never misses
Now thats Totally Tubular Jonathan!!

MGSV- Not finished
Alone in the Dark 3
Duke Nukem 3D
Every Sonic the hedgehog genesis game
I started Dead Spaxe in October and by chapter 3 I got bored. Liked it at first

The quarry was disappointing as hell . Not one character aside from David arquette was remotely likable
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a game that peaks early for me.

Apollo Justice is a mess but it still so much better and more memorable than Dual Destinies.

Since all the big titles are released, would you make a video about best games of 2024?
@@MikeJonas-pi1qy while I appreciate the enthusiasm there is still a few left for this year!
Literal perfect description of Mafia 3. I wanted to love it so badly.. but the open world content is sooooo bland and repetitive. Was a shame.
Why are none of the game titles matching to the game talked about?
I feel this way about resident evil 7. First half is horror mastery, the last half was aimless, bloated, and even goofy. That game is overrated man.
Marvel's Spider-man 2 should be on here
I enjoyed the whole game
2nd half sucked tbh
