As a massive pro wrestling fan. Nothing brought me more joy this year than seeing Motionless in White at WrestleMania. I had to explain who they were to my friend who doesn't listen to metal. I know Rhea is a massive Motionless fan too, can't imagine what she was feeling in that moment.
Honorable mention because it was just a win for all of us in 2024: Bilmuri. I mean it's not even metal, except for it sometimes kind of is. But Johnny out here just making the world a better place in 2024 crankin that hog.
I want us to get back to the point where a metal band showing up on late night isn't a big deal and is just something that happens sometimes (Conan back in the day loved promoting heavy bands).
as a metalhead i loved gojira at the olympics and was a godtier track but to be honest that was the worst opening ceremony (they were trying to be fair with everyone)
If you like Motionless in white um check out Lzzy Hale of Halestorm do Ember Moons intro. Also um metal and WWE have always been mixed together um Motörhead does the Triple HHH intro um Rev Theory does Randy Ortons intro so there are like a lot of rock and metal in WWE
That's true, but WWE in particular seems to be leaning toward more hip hop and rap when it comes to the actual shows, like the opening themes for their 3 TV shows and a lot of the theme songs they pick for their PLEs. So it kinda feels like they're just going with what's popular instead of staying with what's worked
Cool that you are crediting also some cool metal moments and not only the music, but please remove that weird sound when you're showing the next number. It's a bit disturbing to my ears.
What do you think was the coolest thing that happened this year for metal?
Linkin Park Comeback
Motionless in White playing Rhea’s theme live at WrestleMania!
Definitely for me it was Linkin Park coming back.
Definitely Gojira at the Olympics. F*cking awesome.
LP Comeback
Gotta be Gojira playing at the Olympics

As a motionless in white fan and a wrestling fan I cheered pretty hard when MIW came out to sing Rheas theme.
So many awesome metal things happened this year!! KL is a close 2nd but Gojira was my fav. Knew they’d be great but that performance was phenomenal
I think Ice Nine Kills and Terrifier should be on here as well imo. They actually got to collab with a horror movie
Poppy performed Scary Mask for Io Shirai multiple times in NXT…
The Acid Bath reunion is one of the biggest metal W's this year for me
How'd you miss Misha Mansoor making a song for Arcane?
Top 5, maybe that's 6 😂
