🔝 Top 7 Best Trucking Companies For New Drivers - ua-cam.com/video/BHUtOv9df7M/v-deo.html
I start CDL school at a local community college in three weeks. It is a 10 week program Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM. I am very excited and thankful to embark on this new journey, thank the Lord ! There are various programs that I’ve seen that are full-time dayshift, part-time evening, shift, and weekend dayshift. Great flexibility for people that have different obligations and responsibilities.
Thanks for the video
What's a difficult obtaining a job once you graduated?
I just want to say I got my cdl class a permit last Friday and the test is general knowledge 50 questions air brakes 25 questions and combination 20 questions here in Kansas
I don't know if you will see this comment or not but I wanted to thank you for making this video. It was a great video and had a lot of great information. I really enjoyed you explaining about the truck stops and showing us the D.O.T inspection. Just one question. If we find something wrong on the pre trip in en route inspection, who fixed the stuff. Are we supposed to fix the burnt out bulbs or broken mud flaps ECT. or will the truck company pay for it to be fixed while we are out on the road. Also, who pays for the Truck to be washed
Us or the truck company. Thanks if you can answer these questions and thank you for the awesome video. I really enjoyed watching it.
@@chriskelleher5294 your company should pay for all of it if you’re a company driver. Like my company allows one free wash a day or 2 a day if you have a different trailer
Yes here in California it is the same
In Kansas too
Did getting your permit before starting school benefits you any? If so how.
I like that you seem very moral and responsible. That is always nice to see. Thanks for the information!
Yes, a ticket and a violation are the same thing, and are often referred to as a citation.
I'm studying for my CDL, most definitely you are giving good tips. Thank you so much
My pleasure! I'm glad you found this video helpful!
54:47 I always carry clorox spray and lysol wipes for bathroom. Extra sandles
Best channel ever. Super educating. Worth every worth! Keep up the good job bro, I'm liking, subscribing following and sharing!
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful!
Yes, a ticket and a violation are the same thing, and are often referred to as a citation. A violation is an act that goes against a law, regulation, or agreement, and can be intentional or unintentional. A ticket, or citation, is a written record that details a violation and is issued by a police officer or speeding camera.
which are the best regional companies if you live in california?
Always, aways also check your trailer registration, and make sure it's up to date!
Thanks for this educational video about trucks.
I have a CLP and I am looking for a company to work
I’m studying for Class A CDL. This video has so much great information. Thanks. Any new tips for studying for Class A in 2024 ?
I'm glad you found this video helpful! For studying all the parts on a CMV I personally would just keep reading out loud all the parts like crazy and would always go from left to right. Kinda hard to explain but you got this!
It's I think, but not sure it could be as much as 40 to 80 dollars per light out! Could be more or less! But check it's also good to carry some extra lights with you!
Is it possible to get a regional job with 0 experience? Also, do they allow your pet, such as a dog to ride with you?
Yes it's possible. Every company will have different policies. Some allow for pets and additional riders and some dont.
Thank you 🙏 for sharing
Great info Curtis
Thank you my friend!
I got my cdl but not a cdl so im in training. My teacher says im a good truck driver but the dmv send me a letter saying my cdl is not a cdl and i have to brings document to proof im who i claim. Do you know what document i have to brings in so the dmv can give me my cdl? I think this bs is a waste of time!
Why doesn't anyone talk about the dot physical. When does that come into play? I don't want to pay for trucking school just to fail the physical.
Yeah!! how bout the drug test ?
Here in Ca, I had to take the dot physical before heading to DMV for my permit test. No drug test. Urine test was to check for diabetes only.
What about pre diabetics? Also, if you have diabetires can you still be a trucker? @Bumble13Tuna
Hi Curtis, I just 22 y and I wanna join to the truck driver industry, can you tell me please which is the best option here in WA
Kinda hard to see the salaries when you only leave them on the screen for 2 frames. 😅
Where did you get your start without you doing otr. Was your first job regional?
I got my start with a regional trucking company, still with them.
Nice. I hear of a of folks job hopping in the beginning. I really would like to stay with a company long as they are treating me right until I get my experience. I want local or regional but no otr unless absolutely last resort.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of Job hoppin. Looks bad imo. I don't blame you not wanting to go OTR.
Im in cdl school now. What companies should i be looking at for new class a drivers?
Depends on where you live but I would check out ua-cam.com/video/lqWc0kY27h0/v-deo.html
Hi Curtis I have a 2year medical card Will all trucking companies accept it or will I have to take another DOT physical
Hey, usually the company you get hired with will go make you do another one but they pay for it. At least that's what happened to me.
Hi Curtis! My bought my husband a semi but when he was taking the test for a job he had, they put a restriction on his license due to not testing in a certain vehicle. (I’m sorry that I do not know the name of everything. I’m new to this. Just trying to help my husband with his dreams) He can not find a company that will hire him and allow him to take his test to get the restriction off. The schools in the area will not accept him because he has a license. They suggested he drop the CDL and start over. The truck I purchased is a fixer upper and can not pass the inspection. So my question is, do you know of any place, people, resources I can look into or reach out to someone that could help get the restriction off by allowing him to test in their truck, point me to a school that will refresh things with him/help him test, or even just give me some information to help in any way? I apologize for the long message, just frustrated with this and I don’t want him to give up. Thank you!
I have a restriction on my CDL (which I have never used), so I can only drive automatic transmission vehicles. Just today I called a local CDL training facility, and they said they offer a one-week course for $1899 (training as much as you want M-F) and then testing on Saturday to remove the restriction. So such places do exist. I hope this helps.
In case you want to know, the place I was referring to is called Truckmaster CDL Training LLC in Apopka, FL. I'm sure others can do the same, though.
I've got a Question, if you were put out of driving and had your CDL, But was unable to get your CDL due to being in the Hospitalize for 7months, and you had your CDL, but couldn't take your Physical due to the covid 19, Can you still get your CDL Even if your now on Oxygen? And if so why , And , why not? Now you caught this illness , but you were in the best of your health! Now I'm disabled and due to this illness, I can't drive unless I go back to school, or take the whole test again! But I have 35 to 40 yrs of experience, is there a book, on getting an instructor's manual for teaching that I can get? And if so, can you help me find a reputable school that can help me teach, being that they say, I can't drive anymore? Which I think is BS.
