I will give it a shot later today when i hit the training yard to close out the week. I hope to close out nice and strong today. All this week, i've been struggling with straight backing.
Im doing my state exam CDL test soon and so far passed pre-trip and maneuvers. One thing I’ll say is that you don’t need to be doing a whole lot of turning. Just little adjustments helps as soon as you see the trailer drifting to one side. Continuously scan both mirrors to catch the drift on both sides.
I did this with my CDL training class over the weekend I was super frustrated and tired by the end of the day there is like 15 of us only one instructor one truck. So we are lucky to get maybe 4-6 turns per day. They gave us a different instructor both days. Most of my class had it down I am still having a hard time.
I'm very sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, many trucking schools in the country are similar in that regards. Kingdom Trucking Academy uses 4 to 1 ratio. All of our instructors go through our in house certification training before instructing. A tip I give students that struggle at this. Watch your outside trailer tires. Focus on keeping them 2 feet at all times from the line. This sometimes helps.
@brayansolano1936 don't quit. You will get it. If the school you're attending doesn't provide adequate instructing go to Kingdomtruckingacademy.com and purchase our video package to break everything down. We use our Driver Training Package with our students. Keep at it. Your future is in your hands, don't let it go.
@pistolpat-16 you turn the wheel to the problem. The problem is the back of the trailer. When you see it sticking out in the mirror turn the wheel to the left. When you can't see the back of the trailer turn the wheel to the right. Hope that helps. If you need help on anything else you can purchase our video tutorials at Www.kingdomtruckingacademy.com. Thank you.

@silentagony1019 good luck on your state test. Sounds like you're getting it.
I’m going to try this tomorrow morning. I have 3 days left to get this right. Thanks for the advice.

I'm really frustrated and angry, I think I can't get over this. I've tried all the advice from many videos and they haven't worked. I want to quit.

Makes sense
Do you turn the wheel towards where you see more of the BACK TRAILER TIRES in your MIRROR? Or MORE of the FRONT CORNER of the TRAILER in YOUR MIRROR?
