basically these games have a program called ReShade that can be installed on top of them which adds visual effects that a user can turn on and off. People like this guy usually sell their configurations of ReShade on these games (presets) for money. It's not worth it though and you should just make your own. ReShade is free aswell.
I dont really think this level of artistry can be surpassed, ever. No matter how much we progress. Unless they make an RDR3 with the same developers and artists.

Remember that RDR2 came out to PC back in 2019 when the 2080 TI was the strongest so we could only have this performance and visuals 3 years later with the 4090. So imagine GTA 6 around 2028 when there will be cards like 7090 and maybe even DLSS 5 and FSR 5 at that point and also some insane monitors and TVs as well with several thousands nits of max brightness for truly good HDR. That's when GTA 6 will truly shine.
I got one, that's why I'm asking. I'm using 2.25x DLDSR with a 3440x1440 resolution with DLSS quality to counter the bad aliasing - that's where settings start to matter even with a 4090.

Sure most have heard of "Nolvus". I wish someone would do this for RDR2. RDR2 is one of the greatest games ever released, I wish I could grab ALL the mods and do what Nolvus has done ❤
This is nowhere near realism. It's about as close as we can get *right now* and it looks fine, but there's not a sane person alive who would mistake this for real life. We're still 3-4 generations from that, and even then, it would be limited by artist skill.
What is sad is we are 25 years in the 21st and console & most PCs still don't have photo real graphics. Immersion is an even bigger problem. Everything you can do in RL should be in the game. Instead story/quests/gun play/building is all gamers care about. What about random encounters? I want to enter in buildings in GTA and have things to interact with depending on building. GTA style TV shows, radio, games, books to read, net, other RL stuff in your player home or where ever in Starfield. One thing in Skyrim homes is pretty to look at but nothing to do or interact with, basically concept of all games.
@@spyrow9957 about 5 min into the game the npc and trees and textures start dissapearing and then i cant do anything or go into menu, can just stand still while it all stops working, but it dosnt crash the game. have to ctrl-alt-del to get out of it

To be fair, all you need to do to surpass UE5 is to have the game not stutter and actually utilise the CPU and GPU 🤷
