  • Welcome to Living With… a UA-cam series presented by Hypersomnia Foundation. In this episode, Claire Wylds-Wright, CEO of Hypersomnia Foundation, sits down with David Bishop, LCSW - Founder, President, and CEO of the Sleep Equity Project.
David Bishop, LCSW, is a clinical social worker, advocate, and person with sleep apnea. He founded the Sleep Equity Project because he is passionate about sleep apnea and saw a major gap in the patient advocacy space to address people who are historically underserved. These same people are his friends, neighbors, and family members. Working to advocate for more resources for underserved people is in his heart and is a central principle of the Sleep Equity Project.
In this episode, David and Claire discuss the challenges around addressing sleep inequity, why it exists, and what needs to be done to ensure everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background or ethnicity, can have access to faster diagnosis and treatment for their sleep disorder.
We are grateful to David Bishop for his work spreading awareness and addressing the issues that cause sleep inequity. To learn more about the Sleep Equity Project, go to sleepequityproject.org.
Living With… is hosted by Claire Wylds-Wright with the Hypersomnia Foundation. It is produced by Elizabeth Joy Windom of Windhaven Productions.

Take out the background clacking. Makes it hard to listen. Also equalize volume from intro to main interview.
