It's sad when there are beautiful voices and musicians like this that don't go through auto-tune and 300 mixer's but its over shadowed by some idiots doing dances from Fortenite. This is real music ladies and gents in case you didn't know.

I wouldn't even know what mainstream is. I live in Chicago and I truly don't know if there even IS a rock station anymore here that plays anything newer than 2000.
It's a shame that they aren't a household name, but at the same time I kinda like it that way, though. I enjoy the reactions my friends give when I throw MKB on out of nowhere. The reactions are usually always "who the hell is this, and is all of his music this good?!" I get a kick out of it and they get introduced to new incredible music.
I have lost inspiration as a musician and listening to a young man of this caliber do the things he does give me chills down my spine and has refilled an amount of the inspiration that I need to get out an play live again than you Jam in The Van and Markus King for doing what you do!!!! its much appreciated....

I had never heard of this band before today and this is the only song I've heard or seen from Marcus King, and holy shit did it blow me away. I was not expecting that. Amazing guitar, vocals were insane, rest of the band was fantastic and I'm stoked to check out the rest of his music

I just heard of him and his band today. Instagram sensation Jefferson Fisher posted a photo with a song of Marcus' playing. I thought who is that??? Wow!
I'm very proud of my friends for making it so far. It's surreal, and it may never feel real. The times reality sets in is when I want to call and I get a strange ring, only to realize that "Oh, my pal is in Germany." When you have to schedule calls with one of your oldest best friends based on their touring schedule and whether or not they're even in North America, you've officially reached the Twilight Zone.
How these other artists just sit there chillin', I just don't know. When he flicked to the bridge and the extra drive, I'm in my house punching my little fridge like Rocky on the meat. That's some serious style there man.
Marcus has this generation’s best guitar tone by far
@Otie Jason Much of the tone is in the fingers of the player. Marcus's actual guitar tone of a Tube Screamer through a cranked Super Reverb (which was his rig around this time period) + the tone straight from his fingers = his guitar tone. I don't know too many other younger guys in this generation doing it as well as he does and sounding as good as he does these days.

I saw Chris Stapleton and Marcus King at Madison Square Garden a couple weeks ago. Doesn’t get much better than that - except the Stones concert was pretty good too.
Saw these guys last weekend in Memphis TN had the VIP package with sound check and meet and greet!! All of them seem to be very humble and interacted with us during sound check!! Seemed very genuine during meet and greet didn’t have the “lets just get this over with” vibe took time for conversation!! And the show was utterly amazing!! Played for 2 1/2 hours left their all on the stage!!
i was so impressed with this kid years ago and i am so glad that he has received the well deserved attention he truly deserves. i am such a fan Marcus. You are so far from your years it moves me in a way that I cant help but recognise that you are a special gift to all of us . Thank you so much for loving your passion the way you do.

These guys came through Albuquerque last year. Great show and he hung around to greet the fans after. Would definitely see them again.

Marcus is so damn talented, but in this performance his drummer is not only very tasteful and plays for the song, but he has such a deep pocket and groove.

Oh that voice it’s Marcus King. That what I thought when I heard a song on the radio the other day. Sure enough it was him. Yes I am a MKB fan and I have been saying he has the most soulful voice of any young artist today. Great tune and MKB band performance Jamin in the van.

That is seriously quality stuff there. They are getting stupidly tight, and the song writing is not undermining the awesome performances in any way.
I'm absolutely in love with this bands sound. Marcus lays down some saucy licks and his raspy voice is often replicated but rarely duplicated. Throw in a horn section and I'm hooked.
I just saw em live the other day and they perform really well. If you get a chance don’t hesitate go see em.

Amazing !!! Marcus 🎸 incorporates riffs that he learned, and later perfected, from his days in school studying 'Music Theory' and 'Jazz Composition' - What starts out to be a classic rock-n-roll lead, ever so gradually turns into a really tasteful jazz lead with a nice 'punch' sprinkled in for good measure. The guy continues to impress us all with his artistry and his songwriting skills. The band has gone through a few changes but the core will always remain. Drummer 🥁 - Jack Ryan, Bass Player 🎼 - Stephen Campbell, Trumpeter/Trombonist 🎺 - Justin Johnson. ~
