I don't even use my Greenworks 60V mower if the grass is wet (like early mornings when the dew is on the grass). I had serious issues using my electric dethatcher on wet grass, and I had to completely disassemble it and use an air compressor to blow all the moisture out of the electronics. I finally got it working, so I learned a cheap lesson. Water and Electric components do NOT mix.

Mine died after it crushed a big bone I had on my backyard. I guess the impact fried the main board. I changed the board and now it is back running. Thank you for posting this vid. It saved me a ton of money.

You too can fix your own Greenworks lawn mower! All you need is a second Greenworks lawn mower that isn't broken. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Another thing might be in the switch on the handle. I had mowed, then stopped for awhile. Went back and it wouldn't start. Figured i'd check the
switch. Took it apart (be careful ) there's some springs in there. I don't know what was wrong, but i put it back together and it worked. So that's a possibility.

Great video BTW - I forgot to tell you that. It should help some people. These mowers are very costly.
Hmmm - I wonder if placing that part into a container of rice for a few days (like you do cell phones) might allow that part to work again?

Maybe if the part was more than $15 I’d try to do that.. But it’s fairly inexpensive for such an expensive lawnmower

      Just The Truth!
I store all equipment in massive dry ice bins.
Sometimes, I might sprinkle in some cinnamon
or other spices. Oddly, the rare burned scrambled
ostrich eggs have also served to preserve many
      electronic and gas powered devices.
A very old neighbor tosses in his sun baked dog piles,
and has reported amazing success at restoring pliability
      to used Trojans conDUMBs.

Very informative. Could this also be a similar issue with the battery? On my 5ah battery (that shows battery life bars) you can hear the motor "click" but never spin, I've swapped batteries between tools, so I know its this one battery issue.

Hmm. You just kinda talked me out of an e..mower.. maybe I will just get a gas powered with auto start. The pull start one I have is just getting to be too much for me. Usually have to pull it like 20 times b4 it starts and my arms can’t take that anymore. No one wants to cut your lawn anymore either unless I give them 100 bucks..when they did it previously for 30 . My property is like small too..about 10 - 15 mins work. 🤦‍♀️

"I have the same lawnmower, I left it out in the rain what should I do"
      ANSWER:
      1. Bring it inside, give it warm chocolate, 2 aspirins and sing to it till it falls asleep. Then, tomorrow, you can give it a funeral, cuz its D-E-A-D.
      2. Then, slam your head into a wall for destruction of Chinese manufactured equipment.

Great mower until it wasn't. Mine's a Kobalt 80v and for 3 years it ran like a top. Kobalt, Greenworks, Snapper and other 80v battery mowers all came out of the same Chinese factory with different paint jobs. Anyway, as if it had some sort of built-in countdown timer, after 3 years my mower will run about 8 minutes then die. Hours later, same thing, so it's clearly the dang PCB. After it cools off a bit you get another 8 minutes of fun. Those control PCBs are about impossible to find. The battery is fine since the string trimmer still works. 5 year warranty ? ! Ya, good luck. Lowes tells ya "don't bring it here, call Kobalt". Doubtless they will make ya prove ya bought it with a 3 year old receipt that's so faded you can't read it, then they'll offer $50 off a new one. Especially annoying since it's such a simple electrical circuit. All the stupid board does is supply voltage to the blade motor and the propulsion motor.
