This song is actually a response to a b-side track they had a few years ago called 'Doll' where the protagonist of that song speaks to how their doll can't truly be real but how they find comfort in it. This song is from that doll's perspective and they are portraying the doll(s) in this song. That's why all the doll/doll house imagery. At the end, when you see the backpack with plush attachments it's implied that OMG was those toys and even in their Instagram uploads they matched each member to a different one.
As someone who grew up on Jersey club music (Jersey and Philly kids know what I’m talking abt) it’s actually been so refreshing to see this take on it and for there to finally be some form of genre blending utilizing Jersey club through this song-so that’s another reason I’m so happy Oh My Girl put this out, their producers deserve all the praise for this one

Sounds musical theatre-ish to me, in all the best ways. First just the playfulness of the composition. Second, the two styles playing off each other sounds like two characters in Act 1 talking to each other, each thinking they’re being heard and understood, but really they’re talking past each other to the audience. Finally, that nice neat resolution at the end after all that harmonic chaos is satisfying and hopeful, but it still feels a little bit open. Like we’ve papered over the characters’ conflict for now, but watch out, Act 2 is coming.
As a miracle, this song confused me so much at first. It sounded weird so I had mixed feeling about it. However, after listening to it like 3 more times, I kinda got used to it. Then, after watching their live Killing Voice performance of this song, there was no going back. I WAS HOOKED. 😂 So I thank everyone for sharing the knowledge for this song. This song is actually a response to a b-side track they had a few years ago called 'Doll' where the protagonist of that song speaks to how their doll can't truly be real but how they find comfort in it. This song is from that doll's perspective and they are portraying the doll(s) in this song. That's why all the doll/doll house imagery. At the end, when you see the backpack with plush attachments it's implied that OMG was those toys and even in their Instagram uploads they matched each member to a different one.
As someone who grew up on Jersey club music (Jersey and Philly kids know what I’m talking abt) it’s actually been so refreshing to see this take on it and for there to finally be some form of genre blending utilizing Jersey club through this song-so that’s another reason I’m so happy Oh My Girl put this out, their producers deserve all the praise for this one

Sounds musical theatre-ish to me, in all the best ways. First just the playfulness of the composition. Second, the two styles playing off each other sounds like two characters in Act 1 talking to each other, each thinking they’re being heard and understood, but really they’re talking past each other to the audience. Finally, that nice neat resolution at the end after all that harmonic chaos is satisfying and hopeful, but it still feels a little bit open. Like we’ve papered over the characters’ conflict for now, but watch out, Act 2 is coming.
As a miracle, this song confused me so much at first. It sounded weird so I had mixed feeling about it.
However, after listening to it like 3 more times, I kinda got used to it. Then, after watching their live Killing Voice performance of this song, there was no going back. I WAS HOOKED. 😂
