I have a 718 Spyder that I love.. brilliant car. I sold my Ferrari 360 Spyder manual went to Porsche GTS and then Porsche 718 Spyder. But I was offered a R8 Spyder (v10 manual) before I ordered myPorsche Spyder. I did test drive a 2020 R8 but found it numb in terms of feedback and not as nimble or go+carty as the 718 Spyder . You have done a video on both the manual, 718 Spyder and R8 v10 manual. How do they compare? If you could on,y have one in your garage - which one? Thanks.
PS: I love the white. in fact I used to an undying fan to the Audi R8 now kind of dropped off. wouldn't mind if gifted to me though. ADD-IN: preach to Audi about that manual gearbox. going to full auto is no fun. even BMW understands that.

A truly timeless design
It was fantastic also in 2007, but know is even more special, in the era of downsizing and electric cars. And doesn`t look like a 15 years old design.

I bought an R8 V10 Plus with S tronic from 2013. The 1st generation is so much more beautiful. I changed the suspension to a KW V4. The car is absolutely amazing on mountain passes.
I’ve gotten to rev a second generation R8 and the v10 just sounds so amazing 🤤
I agree with you, the spec of your M3 is something that was not been seen in the world, quite literally, use it for couple of ten tousands kms,sell it and buy a R8 V10 with manual.
i was smiling through the whole video! something about manual in my heart will never die! manual are slower but the adrenaline they give is equal to flying a fighter!
The other day i saw the new audi r8 v10 and the old audi r8 v10, about 1:30 minutes after each other in the road, what are the chances...i still prefer the old r8, and how low it is on the ground it's looks so menacing yet strikingly beautiful.

When Audi are the ones who still do a gated manual and Ferrari went to silly SMG/auto/whatever years ago... Good to see someone still is!
Well sadly they stopped making this in 2015, it will be remembered as the last gated manual supercar ever 😞😞
Stupid paddles for the sake of lapping the Nurburgring a few seconds quicker I guess... DSG etc is nice and all but in reality I think a lot of drivers just drive them in full auto rather than bother with changing manaully.

i work for audi and i drove some of these cars with manual and i must say that manual r8 v10 is so fuging nice
sadly i cant afford one, but i always will remember the start of the engine, when you sit in the car and behind you this fuging amazing engine start up and shakes you in the seats .... dream car

I think the R8 is quite underrated a car. Although it does 340+ which is almost at par with most modern Supercars top speed. And the way that lovely V10 revs is lit 💥 ofcourse not to forget the sound 👌👌

Closing the windows gets rid of a ton of wind turbulence in the cabin, and definitely improves the sound quality for the microphone as a result.
Gets rid of no wind turbulence. The wind flows over the windshield and falls into the cabin. That's why they have the wind guards by the head rest. It keeps wind flowing over the body of the car by extending the high pressure bubble created by the front of the car.
It does reduce wind turbulence. There’s wind at the sides of the car as well.
Ever driven a convertible with windows up and down?! Makes a significant difference, especially at high speeds.
