If your expectations are low it’s alright . Lack of any foliage interaction ruined it for me as theirs is just Zero immersion . Maybe there is on high end PC?
@@pixeljauntvr7774 what he said it himself. He said he played it on ps. So his playthrough, story a second time was meh. Simular to the reviewer who did rune factory 5 on two systems. So a bias review.
Didn't really like this game back when I played it on PS5. The one thing it has going for it is how it looks. It's a gorgeous game with great animation and atmosphere, as the reviewer mentions. But the actual gameplay never really worked for me, and it's not just because of the shallow and somewhat repetitive combat, but more the overall feel of the game. All of the traversal and overall movement in the game feels kind of stiff and choppy which I never managed to get used to. You can sort of tell this game was made by people who previously only did animation work because they still seem to have some things to learn about how to make a game feel good to play. They should probably try doing what Shigeru Miyamoto's team did early in the development of Super Mario 64 where they basically locked Mario in an empty room and didn't let him out until the player was able to have fun just controlling the character without anything else present 😅
Now this is an honest review. I agree about the repetitive combat, but that's a good point about how the movement and traversal "feels." As a first-time studio, i didn't hold this against them too much, but over time, yea, it contributed to me not enjoying it as much as I hoped I would.
‘A solid port’ would indicate parity with PS5 so how do you explain it is worse looking in both modes on Series X compared to PS5? By a rather considerable margin too. Xbox is missing mid to distant ambient occlusion leaving areas in light that should be dark. It also has most of the forest canopy removed when you look up where both PS5 and PC have proper coverage. Details like fern fronds are lacking in detail as well looking like they are partially missing on Xbox consoles. This is disgraceful with a further 12 months development time that yet again Xbox owners get shafted with inferior quality. The most likely explanation is the Series S settings as draw distance on Series X is very close to series S and not PS5 in either mode. Laziness by the developer in optimisation seems to be the main issue though. It was just easier to just phone in the settings between S and X than bother to go for parity with PS5. Oddly no version has any foliage interaction dramatically affecting the immersion whilst playing. Unless this is an option on maxed out PC version perhaps? Even though the PS5 version is better looking it doesn’t stop the game from being a repetitive bore anyhow.
PLAY TILL THE LAST BOSS THEN QUIT. Was great until the last boss. The final boss is harder than ANY boss I ever faced in Dark Souls or Elden Ring!!! The fight goes on WAAAAY too damn long with ZERO checkpoints. One failure, you're starting all over again from the beginning. This is when I said oh hell no...DELETE!!! Moved on to a different game.
I kid you not I have no idea how it happened but I was playing the hardest difficulty for the achievement. And when I got to the last boss. I came across some bug or something and I didn’t take any damage what so ever during the last boss beat the game and got my achievement.
I didn't find the last boss significantly more difficult than the previous ones. It is a bit more difficult in the sense that it's longer and it has more phases (including platforming), but I really found it fun to beat. The only challenge I didn't manage in this game was beating the Hunter, Warrior, and Mask Maker all at the same time.
@@matthieud.1131 I never fought a boss with this many stages. Absolutely ridiculous. And with no checkpoints the frustration level is above my limit. I'm done.

Lol. Pestering. I highly HIGHLY doubt Xbox cares that much about a kena release. This game visually is really a masterpiece🥇
Great game. Absolute joy to play
Hope they can make a souls-like game as vibrant as this
Really want to play this but the framerate seems a bit jittery. Or is this footage on fidelity mode?
Really enjoyed this game to the end
Is it just me or did the frame rate seem to stutter in the reviews footage?
