Traxxas REVO (5310) Working Opti Drive Demonstration/Shift Linkage Positions

This is a Traxxas REVO 2.5R that has been restored back to factory specifications and Opti Drive Reset back to stock settings. The recalibration sequence can be found in the owners manual or the Traxxas website. A good tip to make the Opti Drive think the truck is stopped is to hold the brakes while shifting into reverse and wait about 2 seconds before pulling the throttle. The engine idle speed also needs to be set low as possible for the transmission to shift. Do not go past half throttle when in reverse or you are more likely to strip the reverse gears.
Note: There are 2 versions of the Opti Drive Shift Module for the (5310) & (5309) REVO. The way to tell which version you have is by the color of the SET letters under the button. The 27mhz has (White “SET” letters) and the Newer 2.4Ghz has (Red “SET” letters)
There is also a “Black” SET letter Opti Drive that is for the Older Traxxas 2.4 GHz system. This one was a short run and discontinued.

Ive had my Tmaxx 3.3 for almost a year now and have zero problems with Opti Drive And reverse. Only thing that happened is the micro servo Broke and replaced with 2065x and no problems at since. Shifts to drive and reverse smoothly.
