This is an old T-MAXX 3.3 (4909) that was converted to a forward only and pull start. The replacement engine bearings that were used were Fast Eddy Bearings for the 3.3 engine. This is an all original Hpi Savage 25 that was restored back to a factory look. It still has the Nitro Star S-25 and old electronics. Note: Hpi Savage 21/25 have reverse threaded axles/locknuts on the left hand side of the truck. They are silver colored. The right hand side are normal and are colored black.

This is an older HPI Savage X with the K4.6 Nitro Star engine and purple anodized aluminum parts. It was sitting in storage for a long time from the previous owner. The K4.6 has more top end over the F4.6, but the F4.6 has more low end power. Parts Added: HPI Black 17mm hex conversion, HPI Big Bore Shocks, Proline Trencher tires/Proline Raid Wheels, and Redcat 2.4 GHz Radio/Reciever.

This is a restored Hpi Savage 21 that is using a Dynamite .21 engine and an OS #8 glow plug. The truck is using 20% nitro with a 9% oil content. The shocks are using 30 wt oil and have 4 lbs aftermarket blue springs.

This is an original HPI Savage 21 that has a fresh Dynamite .21 Nitro Engine. To fit this engine I had to shave both inner sides of the motor mount a little until the engine did not need to be forced onto the mount. This specific engine takes a standard glow plug. I could never keep a clutch in my tmaxx, I was lucky to get a half gallon out of it. I do miss nitro but electric just out preforms these days.

Is that a tmaxx classic chassis?
This is the original short wheelbase TMaxx 3.3 chassis with the gray transmission. with reverse (I converted it to forward only with part 5195). The part number for the 4mm chassis with no exhaust cutout is 5122R.

What paint did you use for the body
Usually you’re supposed to use polycarbonate paint for lexan. I recommend Duratrax or Tamiya polycarbonate spray paints. The body in this video however has black plastidip as an experiment.

I’ve had no problems at all, just geared down and it hauls! These tires are not belted and are lightweight.
I have a similar situation with mine, as it’s been sitting for 10 years, the receiver seems to be acting weird

i have a friend who has one of these, almost exactly like this one. i have not been able to get it started since the summer. i wonder if the carb settings arent rich enough because it gotten cold out compared to summer. i dont think the fact the engine has super low compression helps though.
If the LST you got has the Mach .26 you could try the stock settings of 3 1/2 turns out from closed on the HSN and 2 turns out on the LSN. Usually if you can’t get an idle the low speed needle needs to be tuned. I got good results with a slight lean LSN and a rich HSN.

Usually I use compressed air, toothbrush/paint brush, and a rag. I also use simple green, soapy water, and WD-40 when needed.

Jconcepts bodies can work on the REVO. As long as it’s a 12-13” (12.5) wheelbase and 7.5” width. I’m curcurrently running the 2005 f-250 body on my short wheelbase REVO! There will need to be trimming around the bumpers though.

nice build but this aint a real 4909 model cause chsssis braces aare suppose to be grey and the chassis doesnt seem to be 4mm thick current tmaxx chassis are 3.2 mm thick the short chassis was discontinued in the early 2000s year not bashing your truck but 4909 are extremely rare to find now days
It’s a real one from 2007, the camera angles made the chassis braces look black. The reverse was removed and the plastic pipe was changed to the aluminum one.
Mine has no low speed adjustment on carb. There is simply no slot to turn
You probably got the regular .15 or the .12 carb on the engine.
