His third wife had a horrible childhood. No wonder she was so easily manipulated by Gary. He treated her nicely. That's all it took, because no one else ever did. She was raped by 3 boys at 7 or 8 years old. Then molested by a relative. Then sent to a mental institution simply because she had epilepsy due to a head injury. She was assaulted and abused there too. Then her first husband abused her mentally. She is a true survivor in my opinion. I hope she has some peace now because she's been victimized her entire life and she's still humble and thoughtful.
I watched a documentary on UA-cam of a young man who was given pcp by his friends then went out with them, shot and killed someone or two. When caught and he was told of his crimes, he said he couldn't remember. He began crying saying that's not him and if he really committed such acts he really deserve the death penalty because he can't live knowing he killed someone. That's someone who accepts responsibility for his actions and willing to face the consequences. These serial killers are all wimps and cowards who deliberately taking out vulnerable people then begging for their lives when caught. None of these serial killers throughout history are targeting a full grown 6'5 man well built because they know they'd lose a few limb if not their lives, so they target young females who are gullible, vulnerable and often charming.
43:32 That father forgiving the man who killed his daughter, INTENSE. I don't know if I could ever find that kind of compassion in my heart for someone like Gary Ridgeway
Gacy and Wournos seemed imminently unlikeable to me. Gary, yeh, I think you probably would, although his workmates calling him "Green River Gary" long before he was arrested makes you wonder what they were seeing in him.
@@indy_go_blue6048 I actually don't think Wournos seemed unlikable, she seemed damaged, but it seemed like she genuinely cared about people she cared about. She also seemed a bit crazy, but I don't get a bad feeling about her when I watch stuff on her.
Mhhh maybe, but If you read her book about Ted bundy… she wrote some stuff that was really annoying. Such as “everyone though we were in a relationship, but I wasn’t attracted to him at all”. Yet she is the one looking like potato. And hen she goes on about Elizabeth not being that pretty. Damn women… the F
What this documentary fails to point out is that the press was publishing every known fact as fast as they took place, giving the killer vital information & allowing him to change his MO & dumping grounds.
If anybody is to blame it was the horrifically incompetent investigators like Reichart who had fantasies of hunting down some evil genius Batman style villain. How this didn’t sink his career is baffling. He is living proof just showing up to work is 50% of the battle. So long as you do that nobody really cares if you’re getting the job done.
I looked at the Wikipedia page for him. I was SHOCKED to find that his first 43 (of 49 official) victims were killed over quite a SHORT TIME SPAN: July 1982 - March 1984 -- less than two years. More than two a month! I think this is an important fact, but these documentaries never emphasize it.
Yeah, once he got into a relationship he pretty much stopped, which I've always found interesting. They always say that serial killers don't stop, but in fact quite a few of them actually do...
You all might want to read Ann Rule's book "Green River, Running Red." She gets into a lot of the details you're talking about, and about how they really capture him. She's a good writer and the book's a good read.
@@indy_go_blue6048 Yeah, I was going to say that books are really the way to get more detail, but you have already said it. I got into true crime - and serial killers in particular - after reading a biography of Jeffrey Dahmer, years before UA-cam was a thing. Not that I - or the book - excuse what he did, but when you know his upbringing, it does explain it. He was an awkward kid, who wasn't good with people, and every time something good was about to happen to him - like finally making a friend - it was taken from him, for one reason or another (not always sinister; often just by coincidence). I was able to imagine a giant sieve, into which everyone is poured, and the vast majority of us find connection, or whatever, and come through it OK, but a very few people - like him - somehow have the right, or rather very wrong, sequence of events occur, and a serial killer is sifted through. I don't even like killing cockroaches, so I find it fascinating that these people's minds can travel so far from where my mind is at, and that's why it's the fine details which really interest me. Those books by John Douglas are very good...
Imaging feeling the need to virtue signal and wear your rainbow suspenders to court to face your daughter's killer (43:44) What an abomination. I have ZERO sympathy for him or his daughter or whoever she was. Everything is about politics to him and his ilk. What an evil, evil man. WORSE, than the killer.
Pretty Cat!! I love your cat, too! I, being born in 1973, have come to realize, that these "normal-looking" guys are able to "blend in," and appear "not threatening." Sorry to be stereotypical, but if a guy is tattooed, bearded, long-haired, muscular, with a big scowl on his face, he would NEVER be able to gain the trust of victims, to get them into a vulnerable spot. As a cat lover myself, I too, still say, "Everything is about LOOKS! That goes for cats, too. If a cat is female, cute, has a soft meow, and a loud purr, there is NO way that she can be an attack cat!" My cousin, who is a veterinarian, said, "She may be a cute female cat, but she can also have sharp claws and fangs!"
One thing that helped to keep suspicion away from him, was that he still occasionally picked up girls and then paid them, returning to the strip. This aided his ability to go after girls, as he didn’t necessarily have an iffy reputations, as a weirdo or as a dangerous client. Very clever, and very simple.
@@propaghandi8614 it’s not an opinion it’s called eyewitness testimony which is public information and in 2023 easily accessible. like calm down bro u must be a mini gary
It's crazy how he was able to get away with it for so long. He was a poor student as it took him almost 6 years to graduate from a 4 year high school, is dyslexic, and has an IQ in the low 80s (average is 100). He wasn't book smart by any means. However, he was charismatic and picked easy victims. Sex workers were (and still are) not valued as highly in society. In general, they are seen as the gross, diseased, objects, basically the lowest rung of humanity. That in an of itself is a disgusting belief most have. They're runaways, addicted to drugs, and had burned a lot of their own bridges with loved ones or escaped abusive situations. These young women and girls had no one looking out for them. No missing person's reports, flyers with their names and faces on them were never put up, no concerned neighbors or friends running the streets looking for them. The only way anyone found them was by stumbling across their bodies on the riverbanks, on trailsides, or in ditches. He got away with it for so long because he chose victims he knew most people wouldn't care about.
Unfortunately, asking a person like Gary Ridgway to reflect on the pain he has caused is like appealing to a rock. One man referred to these people as unfinished souls. A part of their soul or brain is missing.
@@brittanymorley3522 I think deep down he knew how wrong it was to do what he did. Not necessarily feel remorse, but feel sorry for himself, sorry because of the fact that he has thrown his life away and sorry because of the fact how the public views him and that he has forever been marked as a monster (which he really is). Psychopathic killers cannot feel remorse or empathy for the victims and their close ones, but they do feel shame and they do feel for themselves. This is why he was crying, not because he was remorseful
I often feel sorry for his wife. I would imagine many people blame her for not seeing through him but clearly he hid very well. I can't imagine the disgust she felt when she found out the truth.
She obviously didn’t feel disgust. She was more of a “wait wait wait, this can’t be not my husband”. She was more confused about their marriage and whole time together
Cops: “yeah we’ve heard a young girl might be in your home?” Killer: “nope” Cops: “oh okay have a nice day” Detective *everyone working the case is committed*
No search warrant and no evidence to get one. He fully had already told them he frequented sex workers, and there were women he paid and dropped back off at the strip, so until forensic advances could clearly tie it to him, there wasn't a lot they could do. At least they got the saliva sample after the Malvar disappearance which was ultimately used to arrest him.
The Dad at the end forgiving the serial killer hit me right in the feels. Just when your giving up on humanity, special people like this man step up and prove to you that human life is special

I thought the bible says you will burn in hell if you don't accept Jesus so how is it the ultimate in Christianity? Ridgeway's pretend crying didn't fool me. The woman who said something along the lines of, "I hope God has mercy on your pathetic soul because the rest of us won't," made my skin raise. I watch a lot of these serial killer docs and I find one thing that is kind of crazy. Hearing these heartless killers were good husbands, fathers and siblings is just weird…you kill 50 people and shielded the family from your deeds and went home like everything is normal…for yearrrrsssss.
Psychopaths learn how to mirror "normal" behavior and expectations in order to get away with their crimes. They know their actions are wrong (at least in an intellectual level) but lack the ability to have empathy. Sociopaths usually can't or don't want to do this and generally disengage from society and that helps them hide because people do not know them. Ie BTK vs Richard Ramirez.
Well if they weren't able to do that they wouldn't be prolific serial killers, they would just be one time killers who got caught. Now imagine some serial killers never get caught or noticed
My dad lived in a really remote area. He only had three close neighbors, one on each side and one across the street. The Green River killer had to drive right past my dad's house to get to his dumping grounds. I was at my dad's house for two weeks, mostly alone as my dad and stepmom were both at work. It always kind of creeped me out, thinking he might have driven past there with me alone in the house.
I know that road. I walk down it at night. Do you like my mask? I made it myself by stitching pieces of chicken skin together and I used an old woman's lipstick for the make-up. I haven't cut my toenails for decades. I am snade. Hello is it you>?
@@damienholland8103 I have met more than a few and others who have been victimized by offenders. What it says about me? That I always used caution and protected my children and others as they were growing up. I created groups for children to give them safe afterschool activities to help decrease the chances of their being abused. I do not hate good men but I also do not tolerate people who try to abuse children. To say most men are good is almost laughable. Prostitution of children, pornography supported and protected of children by too many adults. Men are so afraid of bullies they choose to ignore their crimes rather then report them. They chose to work with them because they have no fear of being victimized by them in that way. So many in law enforcement all the way up to our Government refused to create laws, fund agencies that were created to save children from abuse. Why are people protesting Planned Parenthood when it is children being abused by family members and their friends the most? Why are they not protesting violent sex offenders getting early release and pitiful sentences instead? This is why many females choose abortion over the risk of a child being abused either thru adoption or as an orphan. It isn't just men, it is also weak and selfish women too.
It is chilling to me, to listen to his 3rd wife, Judith, speak about him and more so to see the photos of the 2 of them together because of the way he looked at her with love and happiness (if he was capable of that?) And her being completely unaware of his evilness. Absolutely gives me chills. I've seen so many of these hindsight documentaries that I don't think anyone can ever REALLY know their spouse is not capable of such evil. The only thing I can say is , if your fiance' or spouse has a troubled relationship with his Mother, be careful.

Our parents aren't perfect, I've seen my mom and dad naked so does that mean I must go and kill people..one thing a serial killer NEVER does is take accountability, someone is always to be blamed and they're always begging to not be executed instead of asking to be taken out of their misery

Do you want to know what the biggest waste of time I mean the biggest ever is trying to tell a sociopath narcissistic murderer how you feel about the murder of a loved one it's a complete waste of breath. What you say to these creeps mean absolutely nothing.
Right..if anything they enjoy the attention they get. I think it would only bother them to be completely ignored and forgotten about once caught and punished.
True. You do it to just share with the world the impact of their false sense of compassion when we talk about the damage these criminals have on our families. People still numb themselves from how damaging it is to allow these kind of criminals to continue to live.
I agree about thinking he would of never been the guy as he showed up at a bar we would have drinks at and he was always smiling and happy He would come in with another guy that one day bent forward and he had a gun in his crack of pants that I seen and not till after he was caught did I start thinking this guy may have been in on it ? Scary to think I talked to these guys a few times and sitting next to the scum bag ...I dated a girl that worked at the same place and she was horrified when she found out
Poor Judith. But thanks to her, a lot of lives were spared. She was able to keep him satisfied enough not to kill for quite awhile apparently. I hope she is doing ok

No it's not maybe before a serial killer is caught. But victim impact statements in front of the world Always have an impact. How killers including serial have began crying or apologizing once it starts. The guilt (which they feel in different degrees just pleasure is more powerful ), public humiliation, uncovering, abandonment they get from everyone, but their closest and even then they're abandoned. This together stings even if only temporarily it stings like fuck. You've seen it time and time again even from serial killers who try and act totally unbotherd.
When he said he "couldn't remember them all" he was lying. Because he told Reichart that "when you found them, it felt like you were taking something that was mine. ..They were MY property. I put them there." Therefore everyone was special to him, in his demented mind. He remembered every one.
Ann Rule's book; Green River, Running Red is fantastic. I highly suggest it to anyone looking for a good read. Ridgeway also killed waaay more than 47 girls. He says the number was 80+
It’s not that i don’t believe him when he says he killed more then 47, but they all lie at the end to try to make themselves out to be the “most prolific” serial killer. I would say high 60’s is likely accurate.
And the Police has the audacity to say he was low IQ. If he was low IQ, i wonder what makes the Police and FBI after chasing this guy for 19 friggin years with over 47+ corpses on his back..
The clash of the serial killers lol. And Eileen was not really a "serial killer" she was an armed dangerous robber, who killed to eliminate the witness.. Her venue of choice was men, alone, under false pretense.
Tbh how can a Police department claim to be "doing everything they can" yet go the to the killers house AFTER he was just seen abducting a girl, and just let him go without a serious investigation. It's embarrassing really, could have prevented so many deaths and possibly even saved the life of a 16 year old right there and then.
That Sargent is responsible for all of the deaths that this k*ller committed after that pathetic visit to his house. Like Gee! There’s a serial k*ller targeting young women and the m*ron cop didn’t do the bare minimum of investigation? That’s our law enforcement system in the US.
The police were totally lazy. My cousin Kevin worked at that auto place as an airbrush guy in HS, and everyone at that job knew it was Gary, to the point of just calling him Murderer instead of his name. And to customers too. They'd say, "Oh, you need to go talk to the murderer over there"... ALL of the people at that job called LE a ton, and LE never responded. NOT ONCE!!!!
Really hard to imagine someone capable of doing these murders and still live like it never happened. Then marry a woman knowing she had no clue is a cruel act in itself. She probably feels guilt, even though it's not her fault, that she remained alive while others were killed. A circumstance like that would make you not only be grateful, but grateful with a slew of mixed feelings.
The father of one of his victims offering him forgiveness had me in tears. What a beautiful extraordinary compassionate human being. That seemed to move the monster the most. And his poor poor wife, so thoughtful and sweet. Rest in peace all the beautiful souls whose lives he stole. 😢
I'm glad the victims got to speak out towards a person that affected their lives. It's not about letting him know the hatred for him but it's about giving themselves some closure on what had happened
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they get that opportunity too - if nothing else it means the killer is off the streets - but I wonder how much good it actually does? This guy's victims were prostitutes, so they had already had hard lives, and no doubt their families felt some level of guilt already (I'm not saying they felt, or were responsible, just that people tend to feel guilt about things like that), and I imagine the way they feel is not something that can be wiped away just by yelling at a guy who isn't affected by what they're saying anyway. You're right though, hopefully it brought some kind of closure. Sadly, I have my doubts though...
What's really outrageous is how these serial killers have no concern what so ever about who they kill, BUT when it comes to their own lives, then they beg and plead to have their own lives saved! SMH They, themselves, don't want to die, BUT they don't care about killing someone else. SMH This is why, no matter what, anyone who kills more than 2 people, should automatically get the death penalty and no deals can be made to give them life in prison. Anyone who kills like this guy, doesn't deserve to live anymore! PERIOD!
The phrase "the banality of evil" was applied to many of the old time German Nazis. Most did not look mean spirited or like they had a temper. They looked like bland innocuous fellows who could be your neighbor, or book keeper, or clerk. And that's what makes all this doubly unsettling.
Yup. Almost all of them look regular. I think Richard Ramirez projected evil by glaring at people and also had certain ethnic features that helped give that evil look. But other than that most of them look like anyone else.
I thought I'd share this story since you referenced the germans. When I was 6-8 years old our next door neighbors were an elderly german couple. The husband was a cook for the german army. He had told my father that the death toll of the holoca**t was around 900k- 1 million.
Well no I think his wife loved who she thought he was but that person did not really exist. He certainly did not love her to come home after just having had sex with a corpse and share her bed. Horror!
Yet also claimed he didn't know anything about them and doesn't remember them. He basically remembered what he wanted to remember. Which means it was either narcissistic selective memory or it was just easy to remember because he probably dumped them in close proximity to each other most of the time.
I was born and raised here in Seattle and remember this case very well. Seems like we had to run a bad luck with Bundy and Ridgeway. The fear in the city at that time was palpable and I can remember walking my mom or my sister home from the bus stop in the evenings because of that fear. I am completely convinced that almost none of his testimony should be believed. If you watch his actual conversations with police he is very easily manipulated by what police want to hear. He repeatedly changes his answers when pressed.
Which is why i don’t believe him when he says 80+. Do i believe him that he killed more then 47? Yes, he had to have as these are just the ones he can be tied to and he had to have had some kind of trial-run where he metamorphosed into the pattern he did. I guess no one believed him. I wish I would of called Portland police and told them where he was I just wasn't thinking.
Ya know what gets me. Is how much these serial killers fear death themselves. Buy they have no issue taking the lives of others like it's a normal activity. Just crazy
Just like Lawrence Bittaker! That POS said in one of his last interviews that He thought more about death now that he was older! NEVER offered any remorse, just said that he "wished 'it' wouldn't have happened." "IT"? STILL never taking responsibility for his horrific deeds! Well now he can explain himself now to his Creator!!!
but it's not crazy really, their brain is abnormal, that's all, no mystery, no oh how are they able to do these things, no their brains just don't work like yours or mine, so imagining doing these things for us isn't at all how it goes on in their minds.
His brain is wired differently because of what he saw and heard as a child. Hearing his father talk bad about prostitutes but then fornicating with them and seeing his mother dressing so provocative and washing his private parts wired his brain in such a way that he had no issues and no remorse killing all those prostitutes. He said it himself, his anger was bottled up and got bigger and bigger and he had to release it. He sadly chose to release it in such a perverse and evil way. But if his mother would have been a normal mother and if his father would not have patronized prostitutes, would he still have chosen to become a serial killer?
So many other serial killers end?? Apart from Dahmer, name one other serial killer that got killed by another inmate. I can only think of one other. Most serial killers are either still alive, died of old age or disease in prison, or were actually executed by the state.
He's most likely separated from General Population for his own 'protection'. Too many inmates with nothing to lose looking to make a 'name' for themselves as the one who took out the 'Green River Killer!

How many times do we have to see how terrible lie detector tests are before we finally decide to retire them for good. I feel like serial killers probably have the best chance to pass them being so emotionally empty and all.
You obviously understand how they work, how to operate them, and all the nuances associated with them and you appear to have professional training and experience to justify your thoughts on who has the best chance to pass them. Why don't you share your creds with everyone so we can all be as impressed with you as you obviously are?
They literally mean nothing. They're inadmissible as evidence because of their know inability to be accurate. It's just a tactic detectives use. Coercion, to get people to talk.
I remember the TV host Morton Downy Jr took a lie detector test while smoking. One queston they asked was whether he smoked or didn't smoke...."No I don't smoke" he responded as he was smoking a cigarette. The test showed he was telling the truth. LOL

The Green River Killer has affected my life because he killed one of my best friends mother. She was one of his first victims. Joey Bonner was his name. His mom was killed by this weirdo. It hits home to me because growing up we all knew that this has affected my friend. He was really without his mom. I mean I don’t remember what his mom looked liked. I just remember she was never around his house when we were over. It’s sad having to know that your friends mom is apart of this crime story. Her face was always put on the television. How did Joey feel? The things they called his mom. The activities she was involved in that got her killed. Joey had to feel a certain type of way about it. He talked about it from time to time but not often. He was embarrassed. Hurt. Not having her around, Joey turned out to be a pimp. He was doing to these girls the same as his mom was done by her pimp. It makes you wonder if he did this because of his moms fate? Did he feel that these women were like his moms. They prostitute themselves as his mom did. Does Joey hate them? No respect for them? Is he getting even with them by doing this? Pimps are cold blooded. Joey was not. He was out of place if you ask me. Blonde haired baby faced Joey. Pimping hoes. No mother figure to learn from. Only the reports on the news that protrayed his mom as a hooker. Now Joey hangs around hoes, staying in the same motels and strips his mom resided in when she was alive. Other pimps knew his mom. Maybe Joey felt closer to his mom when he was in these places. Maybe Joey wanted to feel what his mom felt.

I'm from Los Angeles, I lived in Seattle from 2016 to feb. Of 2021. Ppl I met from work to friends of friends talked about Gary Ridgeway like as if he was Kurt Cobain. Ppl would ask me if I knew who he was and smile when they would tell me they went to school with him. Or some one they knew were in his vfw charter. Sickening
Wow not many people would survive any of that
She really is brave women
I hope she is surrounded by love today! Getting a dog can be life changing for the warmth they provide🌅
how do you know all that??????????????????????????????? about his 3rd wife,,,
I'm glad someone hasn't started a conspiracy about her the way they have about other wives and mistresses. It's unbelievable
It amazes me that these killers can go out and kill without a thought but then beg for their own life. Such cowards.
Yes.
That's why I feel like these sickos should be handcuffed and beat to within an inch of their lives in interrogation.
@HONEST MAN UTD FAN Yeah victims all women. Coward
jeff dahmer didnt though. he wanted the state to kill him.
But did you notice, THAT was the testimony that broke his cold, emotionless ass...?

Man of God. A requirement when following jesus is to forgive.
It made Gary cry, so it was very powerful and the man forgave him to regain HIS OWN life, not because he liked Gary.

@@philsurtees Right. I wish these docs would go a little deeper into that sort of analysis.

Love your kitty!

No search warrant and no evidence to get one. He fully had already told them he frequented sex workers, and there were women he paid and dropped back off at the strip, so until forensic advances could clearly tie it to him, there wasn't a lot they could do. That's a typical pattern for serial killers.
Plenty of people are able to live double lives cleanly compartmentalised.

I do not hate good men but I also do not tolerate people who try to abuse children. To say most men are good is almost laughable. Prostitution of children, pornography supported and protected of children by too many adults. Men are so afraid of bullies they choose to ignore their crimes rather then report them. So many in law enforcement all the way up to our Government refused to create laws, fund agencies that were created to save children from abuse. That Sargent is responsible for all of the deaths that this k*ller committed after that pathetic visit to his house. Like Gee! There’s a serial k*ller targeting young women and the m*ron cop didn’t do the bare minimum of investigation? That’s our law enforcement system in the US.
Task force ain't the same as a police department. It hurts I'm defending police
becuz that guy was white
The police were totally lazy. My cousin Kevin worked at that auto place as an airbrush guy in HS, and everyone at that job knew it was Gary, to the point of just calling him Murderer instead of his name. And to customers too. They'd say, "Oh, you need to go talk to the murderer over there"... ALL of the people at that job called LE a ton, and LE never responded. NOT ONCE!!!!
@@RawOlympiaI believe it. I don't think they gave a sht
Some people are just truly evil! My heart just broke hearing from the victims families, and from his 3rd wife.
She was the cover story to make him seem "normal" and she knew that.
Gary is the epitome of a family member or person that ranks your feelings under theirs , don't despair ,leave !!!
Get your ducks in a row and then leave !!!!
It's amazing to see the emotions of police and detectives it shows their beautiful souls
What's really outrageous is how these serial killers have no concern what so ever about who they kill, BUT when it comes to their own lives, then they beg and plead to have their own lives saved! SMH
They, themselves, don't want to die, BUT they don't care about killing someone else. SMH
This is why, no matter what, anyone who kills more than 2 people, should automatically get the death penalty and no deals can be made to give them life in prison. Anyone who kills like this guy, doesn't deserve to live anymore! PERIOD!
It's sad that the LE has to bribe them to confess and disclose information about all the victims.
Spotted the bolshevist
It's the mind or personality that is deformed not the body or the look of a person.
I thought I'd share this story since you referenced the germans. When I was 6-8 years old our next door neighbors were an elderly german couple. The husband was a cook for the german army. He had told my father that the death toll of the holoca**t was around 900k- 1 million.
@@user-to8ki3dv6x that's even exaggerated, as research shows it was no more than 150 000.

@@barneyporter6138 that's true.. but she might not love him anymore now.
She divorced him. IMO she's the 50th victim (or 70th if he actually did kill 69 women.)
She probably ghosted a good guy to be with Gary Ridgway.
Well no I think his wife loved who she thought he was but that person did not really exist. He certainly did not love her to come home after just having had sex with a corpse and share her bed. Horror!
I'm in tears 😭 i felt all the family victims pain.
Alluding everyone for twenty years! Unbelievable! police are stunned.
His ability to recall the places where he dumped them is insane!!!
He'll meet up with Bundy and Hell and I'm sure they have quite the agenda for those two.
There's no hell.

King James Version
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I think it’s probably closer to 60 but not north of 80.
What an amazing person Judith is. Just comes across as a person with a huge heart and beautiful spirit
I met Gary at a BBQ in Portland 1989. He was quite and working on a car with his friend. I learned from a friend that when Gary would get drunk he would brag about being the Green River killer. I guess no one believed him. I wish I would of called Portland police and told them where he was I just wasn't thinking.
if you never thought, i know. this guy might be the GRK, then you shouldn't attach any guilt to your young self❤
That officer that didn’t catch him sooner must have never been able to let that one go. I know I couldn’t. Bless his soul..
This was very well done, Thanks!!!
I'm surprised that he survived so long in prison , that no
one beat him to death as so many other serial killers end.

Growing up i never thought they would catch him
Ridgeway was definitely one of the most prolific serials to ever be captured. It's disturbing to think that their are likely dozens still operating out there somewhere and the smartest ones never get caught, free to rack up 100's of victims across the country
He was an average guy. I worked at a Kenworth dealer. Several people told me he didn't seem like a guy that would do this. You never know.
Most of them are in governments and have killed thousands
@@C-Culper4874I would imagine the ones that stick out get caught easier and can't become prolific serial killers, thankfully.. but that means the ones that do go on are the ones that seem normal and not capable of killing
Law enforcement really dropped the ball on this one. Too many innocent lives lost.
Arr not just this one. U.S. investigators are famous for it unfortunately
it justifies security cameras everywhere, to my mind
There are about 350,000 unsolved murders from the 60s to now. Seems like they drop the ball pretty much all the time.
Heard about this a lot on the news growing up. Didn’t think they were ever going to catch him.
Really great documentary. You guys nailed it
The old man's words at the end were SO heartbreaking; but I kept thinking, if this monster had done this to anyone I love, I would NOT be able to forgive. Maybe I'm a lesser human being because of that, but harming another living thing in such a horrific way is just unforgivable. May all those women and girls rest in peace, they WILL be remembered.
I think the older man was the only one to effect him emotionally.
Your not wrong. These people deserve a horrific slow death.
No forgiveness. Only revenge
The older gentleman was most likely forgiving for his own sanity. That level of hatred will eat you up inside and turn you cold. That's no way to live
@@Wyatt_Riley True. But it was also a brilliant move. That monster was immune to hatred, and was expecting the outpouring of hate coming from the families of his victims. The forgiveness statement was the only thing that visibly affected him. It was like a virtual knock out punch he never saw coming.
its unbelievable how many poor girls he killed, then gets married and no more killing, How does that happen. What the hell is wrong with that Demon. Just pure evil.
There was something in him that wasnt feeling fulfilled until he got married to her I guess. It didnt stop him for long though because he was bringing home girls and doing his deeds while his wife was at work.

Lie detectors are tools like all others. You don’t know how to use it … best to hang it up and leave it for somebody that does know how to use it.
@@drats1279 You don't have to be an expert to see that they never work tho.

Why are publicly outing him by his full name on a public forum.
