LAW. i just got my carbon frees and skated around my kitchen. i love them already. i dont have the carbons to compare it to but i can see what you mean about the padding. the best way i can describe how they feel is that they feel like a high end ice hockey boot with couches inside of them. the way they wrap around my foot is very similar to ice hockey skates except soft inside. i love it.
As someone who recently got the Mesmers and who never skated thrones I was surprised how snug the heel is. Like you say I feel a bit of a pinch in mine too. Also had pressure on the side which turned out to be incorrectly installed cuff t nuts so that was an easy fix. For anyone thinking of the Mesmers I skate the same size shell in M12s (43-44) and I find the Mesmers narrower in the heel, but a tiny bit more room elsewhere.
My older 5th elements are still solid. That being said I did go out and buy some Mesmer Bolino's. I liked the idea of UFS and my old 5th's did not have UFS. But no skate has ever felt better on my wide foot than a 5th Element. The exception would be the K2 fatty. That skate was comfy. But yeah they did not hold up. Not even 8 months for either of my 2 pair I used back in the day. Then I switched to Roces street and eventually the 5th's.I've only been back to blading for a few months now. Your channel has been great inspiration. Thank you for that.
Man I wish I could get the original UFS 50/50 frame. I like the asymmetrical look. I had a pair of the Clear 50/50 UFS, balance frames and didn't like the juice bumps. I was used to a flat face frame like kizer fluid Ranier Pyramides. Also the clear plastic was sloooow. I had a hard time locking in with the juice bumps.
Just going off your comments in the video, the 120 bucks prime frame is ready to roll for 200 bucks. That marries up with your frame plus 2 sets of wheels @40bucks for a flat setup. So balance2 with ready to roll would be 140 bucks not 150
I wasn’t aware of that much of improvement, I was thinking it was only some cosmetic changes, definitely on my buy list now!
It's amazing you're releasing your second frame after only 4ish years since bringing back the balance frame. Excellent work as always.
Looks like you hit all the needed improvements! Definitely going to order asap!
I love the new design of the balance frames, can't wait until I can skate em. Always be innovating, Law.
Yes, you make my favorite frame better!! Wider split was one of the thing that i want because i start riding flat again!
[Mesmer] They look 🔥 with that FR Intuition liner
Totally, perfect color match
wow!!!!
The new Balance 2 is incredible, I really like the improvements and especially the screws. I love 5050 frames Balance

These look amazing Lawrence, can’t wait to try them!

i have some 50/50 Fromm's and i love them.
i hope you do a factory tour one day, would be great meet the makers and the process
Hey Law consider testing the Fluid 5 on coping in a miniramp. The groove is somehow great for coping. Great episode as allways.
Remember the majestic 12s with aluminum frames and the plastic H block would break first day lol
Did you see how well the speed skaters like Joey Mantia and Bart Swings did at the Winter Olympics. 👍👍👍
Damn you just had to call out Florida. Haha.
Wow I took off my feather lights for Kizer frames their fast but there just not for me ! Great vid bro
The new frames look amazing 🤘🏻What size are the ones you have on the Hazeltons?
Those are the 270s on a 44 boot. 💪🏻

Omg balance 2 looks perfect.
Well almost.
I’m going to be that guy.
When do we get it in yellow?
Haha, someday
I found some old balance core frames and was asking myself if the core fits the prime walls? 🤔
Interested to know what the smaller modifications cost each time you re-open the mold. Care to share?
Depends on the size of the modification, but low end $500ish high end a few grand
@@BacktoBlading Oh ok that's not too bad! Presuming a whole new mold is 10k+?
Would you ever release a revised set of grind plates for the Balance 2? Just for kicks
We’ll see, I’m always interested in improving
Law what you're favorite skates??
Right now Adapt
Why not design a rocker and/or big frame under Compass?
We have the Blue Ridge now in 72mm and 80mm. Always looking for new ideas though.
60 bucks for balance 2 with 2 sets of wheels @40 bucks makes 140 bucks not 150 bucks.
Yes, plus bearings and bearing spacers.$180 retail bought separately
