Will the softer cuffs be on the XS omni or will the softer cuffs be introduced on run 2 of the skates? I like the current cuff so I'd be okay with either hardness of cuffs. Was just wondering that's all
I didn't get to catch this live but my only issue is the pinky toe pressure point beneath the 1st eyelet. If there is anything I could do to help testing I would love that. (Especially to size test the new shell between L-XL that was announced on the site) I might be fine with the L shell if a couple mm were added to round the toe box on the outside, but if not, the new "Almost XL" shell should be perfect. Is there any estimation for the new L-XL and will it be in the same run as the XXL or after, since it wasn't mentioned until much later? Edit- As someone who has a tech deck skateboard on my work desk for fidget purposes, I would LOVE finger skates! PLEASE DO THIS! :D
OK, as you have invited questions I certainly have some lol. I came back to skating 20 years after 20 years. I’m an extremely physical person, but I had some injuries. I love to use aggressive skating as a benchmark for how my body is doing. let’s be honest if you’re able to comfortably jump onto a waist high handrail slide down it absorb the impact evenly. Your body is pretty open and it’s in a good state. so I’m going to take my knowledge from a quarter of a century of bodybuilding and combine it with my love for rollerblading, which was always my favorite activity. For the questions. I have size 10 1/2 razor SL the width is great which is traditionally my issue with all skates. The actual shell is a touch bigger than it could be. It’s probably a minor issue, but having Asperger it makes the skate feeding perfectly quite in my mind. Let’s put it like that lol. The Omni size medium fit? I nearly bought a pair of standard medium on Facebook marketplace. But then I didn’t because I am not sure if I am not actually a size large. Next, what communities for rollerblading are out there now? I will be joining your patron along with a few other rollerbladers that I follow because I am very much focused on community. My username is Parkin_cornelius in the future, I would like to perhaps Collab with some companies. Due to my social media presents I have Quite a large chunk of ownership in a hormone replacement company I have also had several companies that gave me discount codes where I would make 10% of the total sales sometimes 20%. Although my UA-cam has not been very active and it has not been focused on rollerblading. I am semi retired from professional coaching for bodybuilding and I am more focused on dad‘s traditionally. Do BJJ and weight training.. so I’m going to go 100% into this. I appreciate your channel because I appreciate attention to detail. I am one of those people that get excited when he sees a video on skate fitting.
Hey, glad to hear your story. If you’re a 10.5 I’d get the Large Omni. But please measure your feet in cm to see where you land. 28.5 cm or less, Large is a great shell. www.standardskate.co/sizing
@@BacktoBlading I'm a size 10.5 with 28.4 on my larger foot and regardless of liner my big toes hit the front of the Large Omni. I chalk this up to the toe box being an even curve, meaning the longest point is the middle, rather than more foot shaped with the longest point matching the longest point on most human feet(the big toe). My big toes hit the curve not the middle on the toe box. Hope this gets fixed in the future though I would guess the molds would need changing along with the souls.
I brought the 7 to 8 shell which is good for me length ways with two shock absorbers, I’m struggling with the skate width ways on the outside of the foot where my my little toe is, do you have any recommendations for gaining a few mm or stretching the boot out in this area? I have tried, Intuitions, the prime liner and the 2nd skin, Also are there any future plans to make the boot a little wider in this area. If I went the next shell size up it will be to big.
If the size 10/10.5 (43/44) is 275=10 or 282=10.5 and the size 11 starts at 289 THEN that means the size 10/10.5 Sway skate is really as big as 288 mondo length. Chances are that your Sways on 9 are too small and 10 is too big. The whole 43/44 skate REAL SIZE is 275 to 288 mondo.
Thanks for always sharing as much as you can. We appreciate your work!
Ben, I Hope everything gets better real fast!
I nearly went to Crowder this past weekend just had a limitation with the car because we live in Mooresville NC. Love the channel.

Next production has the XS, and we’ll have softer cuffs on all of them
Welcome to Whose Skate Size Is It Anyway where everything is made up and the numbers don’t matter
Loved that show!
Skate sizing in this industry is more aspirational than reality.
Standard x Wayne Brady 🙏
I wear a 8-9 m12 so I should wear a size 8-9 5th element. I also wear a size S them 909 so that automatically means I wear a S standard omni.

In terms of community, be-mag is dead (thank god, what a cesspool) and most activity is on reddit and instagram.
I didn’t realise who Ben was then i realised - oh! It’s that really awesome co-host…Christ I hope it all works out for him.

We won’t be able to change the dimensions, super expensive. But you might be able to use a shoe stretcher and a heat gun.
it looks better unpainted
COMPLETELY offtopic, but: do you think the US as a nation should gradually go over to rhe Metric system?
We tried in 1975. It failed
I’d love that, but hard to see everyone getting on board

Sizing is all over the place. Wish we had more shops to try them on and compare
