Filipinos would've just used the original M4 but M4's don't work in the jungle so they changed direct impingement to a piston, kind of like an AK resulting in less stability which was solved by reducing the rpm. Perfect if you ask me since no one ever use the extreme rpm of the M4 to the full extent so sacrificing a few of it for AK like reliability is brilliant.
P.S. If you look carefully HK 416 is alot different in PVAR PVAR looks more like M4 SOPMOD and also UDMC designed the PVAR earlier than HK416 the 416 only finished earlier because they have the resources
A lot of these manufacturers would have you believe that theirs is the only weapon that can perform like this. Like I said, "ALL piston driven AR's can perform under these conditions". Even the cheapest piston driven platform can successfully perform an "over the beach" cycle test.
This PVAR system looks similar to the Heckler & Koch 416 which was designed by H & K in the middle of 2000 based on their G36 rifle which also uses a short stroke gas piston instead of a direct gas impingement system common to Colt's M16s and M4s. I hope UDMC has rights to manufacture the PVAR. as an original design. If not, this would be considered as patent infringement.on UDMC's part.
Third, DI AR platform rifles are NOT unreliable - UA-cam will not allow me to link to the article, so do a google search for "The Big M4 Myth" there is a very well written article with testing by a former SOCOM operator on this very subject. Fourth, because of the spring tension on the barrel, all piston driven rifles are inherently less accurate than direct impingement weapons. (No I'm son saying that piston rifles aren't accurate, they can be)
I just don't get it, why do we still have to import M4's when we actually have great local assault rifle makers right here in the Philippines. It really bums me!
Because they're not battle tested. You don't want the Philippine MIlitary to be armed with untested rifles. And it's cheaper to buy from the the US. Since the US has more weapons manufacturers like for example, the company that supplies the Philippine Armed Forces the most is Remington. Remington shells out millions of rifles every year. That's millions of guns, spare parts and ammunition. A large operation like that has a streamlined system which will reduce manufacturing cost. And since they sell rifles in bulk, the Philippine government can save a few hundred million on the cost. Where as this gun is made by UDMC. A very very very small company by comparison. A government contract from the Philippine Government (which let's face it, wouldn't be much) wouldn't be able accelerate production rate. There's also the issue of parts. If a small company can't supply spare parts to untested rifles in the battle field, you might as well just give up and surrender.
it fires torture tested and easy spare parts manufacutring and not to wait 2 t 3 months b4 it arrives as you can see in that video it was sumberge in water and still fires
First, the PVAR system is nearly IDENTICAL to the piston systems that Adams Arms has been building for many years. Second, NONE of the "water tests" in this video are correct or even useful tests. The "water test" or "over the beach" test requires that the rifle have a round chambered while the rifle is submerged, and fired within a second of being removed from the water. ALL piston driven AR's can perform under these conditions.
yes but you have to dislodge one bullet first with the barrel pointing upward for water to be drawn out of the system before shooting, any water in the riffles system will disrupt the high pressure gas that will cause jamming

Napaka quality na rifle😊😊😊😊😊
Proud Filipino!
it uses Pneumatic Valve and Rod so its not a copy of other like m4

Mahusay talaga ang gawang pinoy.......proud to be pinoy
its absolutely less recoil, accurate when hitting target

Very nice rifle,
iam still confused, what's the difference between this and the long stroke/short stroke piston??
If thats the case, wouldn't the PVAR be considered a non-original design because its a carbon copy of the m4?
The mere fact that it uses piston system makes it different from the Colt M4 which uses a direct impingement system.
This PVAR system looks similar to the Heckler & Koch 416 which was designed by H & K in the middle of 2000 based on their G36 rifle which also uses a short stroke gas piston instead of a direct gas impingement system common to Colt's M16s and M4s. its already patented and no other manufacturer filed a complaint

They lowered the rate of fire for the PVAR to compensate for accuracy.

Well that all changed now!

Thomas Christopher White, WRONG!
Watch the videos of NAVSOG testing it in the water
export that to us....madami gun enthusiast dun.....mabenta ang AR platform dun

UDMC PVAR rifle. Napaka kwality po sir.
yep.
Sana sa susunod lahat ng armas ng AFP gawang Pinoy. UDMC the best!!!

When will this weapon be available to military?
To be honest, it is currently used in military in the Philippines because it was made in Philippines
@@alexissanpascual7385 only by PSG, not the AFP iirc
someone get me that rifle ASAP!
Proudly philippine made
3 people keep using m4
Gsto ko Yan magkano Kaya Yan hehe
Getting one soon :)
Fuck my shiiiit 😵
Try submerge the rifle in water for 24 hours

wow low recoil
locally made pero presyong import, zzzzzzzzzz
Abused the gun... if it was tough enough!
it's already patented i think.
Thats philippines made gun..hahah panis kayo
Funny, not even once these mofos never mentioned where it was made. Makes you wonder. So typical.
it was made in the philippines
