@LilATL94, the .223/5.56 has really good ballistic ratings(Bc:ballistic coefficient) at long ranges, and the fact these types of rounds has less recoil, so in turn more bullets carried, more rounds on target, equals more effective infantryman. UDMC, unlike H&K might provide the piston system and barrel upgrade as an upgrade kit, which H&K may never do due to restrictions an regulations.

@LilATL94 thats why in a lot of training, soldiers are taugh to aim at the head. also, as from future weapons show a milspec 16 can penetrate a ballistic nylon helmet and a ballistic vest. as for the MP7, the smaller round delivers same ballistic penetration, even more, that a 5.56. look at the M1A2's SABOT round. 120mm with sabot, but less than 1 inch thick penetrator. small cal, but high velocity. smaller faster round=armor defeating big fat chunks of lead=showstopping human stoppers.

For each one of them has one specific function to perform. the Scout ranger are well verse in operating in jungle were they can penetrate in and out without being notice on a standard basis through the info given to them while the Navsog has its own specific function were they operate on the Navy Ship to be launch in a fast craft and to land in the shoreline in total concealment

@Sputnikkras Its an alteration kit that the Filipinos made to replace the M4 in usage for their armed forces. That's why its called the PVAR Rifle.
It doesn't hurt the rifle, it was manufactured to be stable enough to fire while wet. And as long at the gun powder stays dry, it will work perfectly

UDMC has limited manufacturing capacity they can only provide this weapons to special forces units.

It's almost the H&K piston system (like on G3 or HK416).
The PVAR is a good weapon (better than M4), but it's more fragile than the HK416...

The design mechanism kinda reminds me of a Heckler and Koch 416 assault rifle and the LWRC M6 assault rifle. At least it's very reliable. And I was wondering? What type of round does it fire? Hopefully not a 5.56x45 mm round.

@soyvin101 calm down. i saw they weren't US and the only other nation to have seals is thailand so i assumed that. and if you're going to be so official then you should know they're not actually called seals.

Firing M4 carbines submerged aren't safe, it can explode, ive seen German troops test their M4 and its right side exploded while firing it a few rounds underwater

That's why we called it M4 platform.. different brand but same mod, that will minimize from soldier from attending acquittance party "Me and my rifle get to know each other stuff" After all the Philippine Army is used to M4 mod ( or American guns)
