After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian - a fighter who has nothing to lose. ""Creed III"" is the third installment in the successful franchise and is Michael B. Jordan's directorial debut.

“He should’ve called him.” I definitely understand that. But when Adonis says “it just felt easier to forget”, I completely get his side as well. Dame represents an aspect/era of Donnie’s life that he wants to forget about and compartmentalize. It might not be right per se, to just leave him alone, but I understand wanting to cut ties with aspects of ur life/childhood that you consider toxic or mentally breaking.

Dame wasn't toxic he had a goal in life he chose to protect Adonis because he knew he wouldn't be able to survive in prison. Dame and Adonis were little baby brothers more than Adonis was to his own brothers and sisters from his dad's side . Dame had a gun because he lives in LA what are the most dangerous places to live as a black person living in America at the time . What is Adonis adopted mom was all messed up because she knew what game did for Adonis and she hid him and acted like he was a piece of crap . How would you feel if somebody you loved never wrote you back or even saw you in prison especially when you risk your life and Future that friend cuz you know he couldn't handle it . What Donnie mom did was the reason why Dame had so much anger and animosity towards Donnie . In the black community you're supposed to look out for your own who have protected you and love you unconditionally

29:50 everything Dame did are actually legit dirty boxing tactics, even that knee to his knee. My boxing coach taught me the exact same things. I was surprised to see it in this movie. Punches to the arms and the armpit are legal. Punching the armpit will weaken the arm because of all the nerves and blood vessels in that area.

Just like Sylvester Stallone, Michael B. Jordan has proven that he is as talented of a director as he is an actor! I especially loved how this movie tackles issues of mental health, toxic masculinity, and (for Amara) learning discipline along with fighting techniques like a true martial artist.
You can also feel how his love of anime influenced his filming style. The shots of Donny and Dame staring at each other through the locker room wall, the entrances for the fighters of both fights, the super slow motion of the fighters finding weak points in their opponents, even the montages. All of them are screaming like a Super Saiyan with anime love.
And the final fight is honest to god one of the best and most creative fight scenes ever filmed. Physically their fighting styles are unique, Dame picks his moments carefully and the strikes hard over and over like a viper; while Adonis fights like dog, scrapping and pressuring his opponent, forcing them to make mistakes. And then when the fight goes into “The Void” that’s when it becomes the most anime inspired live action scene ever made. Donny and Dame seeing each other as kids in the corners and then fighting against prison bars and a homemade ring.
And I loved how even though he won and he could retire again as the champ he looks in the ring like he has maybe one more fight in him. Michael B Jordan is now going to be the number one pick for any live action adaptation of any anime show or movie.

So, Stallone still gets a producer credit because it’s still part of his franchise. But from an acting and creative standpoint, he stepped down from “Creed III”, citing his beef with “Rocky” franchise producer Irwin Winkler, who refuses to relinquish 100% ownership of the franchise to Stallone. By not doing so, Winkler is the one who has the power to produce “Rocky”-related content without needing Stallone’s consent. Stallone did say as far back as “Creed II”, that he would no longer reprise Rocky after that movie. However, he also said that he read the script for “Creed III”, and realized his role wouldn’t have been big anyway, and that the story headed down a darker direction than he would’ve liked. All that being said, while promoting his show “Tulsa King”, Stallone said that if Michael B wanted him to come back for a possible “Creed 4”,’he absolutely would… However, because Winkler would still be involved, he would most likely decline.

This movie was my favorite of the Creed movies because it was very emotional and the show the side of black people in America when it comes to how and who we perceive as family and what happens when 1 of them does something for you out of love even though your not blood . The scene after the fight between Donnie and Dame was the most emotional because you got to see them both release on a negativity that had built up throughout the movie end end of the time frame of what happened to the both of them and you could tell did they really didn't hate each other and they loved each other more than they hate each other . It made me cry one of my best friends like my brother always been here for me through all the bad things that happened to me during the time we've known each other like when my cousin got murdered when I was dead for 7 mins and was 2 mins away from being permanently dead and he would visit me the 2 days I was in a coma and he was there for me after my uncle died a month after I almost died. My friends three sons on my nephews and I love them all unconditionally

For everything that the Rocky series is... Creed is the superior story. It does one thing that Rocky never gave us... BACK STORY.
Rocky gave us "now" and beyond... but never "before". What took Rocky to Gazzo? Why was he fighting? What was in the basement?
Creed gave us the fuel for the fire. It answered the why of who Donnie was. That's the juiciest bits.
Rocky is a fantastic movie. A fantastic character. A fantastic love story. But this, is a masterpiece

Jimmy Lennon Jr is a real ring announcer. When boxing was big, And had paper views. HBO had Michael buffer and showtime had Jimmy Lennon junior and Buffer said his catchphrase and Lennon said his "It's Showtime". When he left showtime he had to change his phrase slightly because of copyright and it wasn't the same. "it's fight time" etc. Buffer gets a cut anytime someone says his line.

And yes Donnie daughter should always solve problems but when you try to do that and the person that's messing with you keep messing it's you and keeps doing what they've been doing to you , you sometimes how to use aggression towards that person because it will be the only way to make them stop . I'm pretty sure the girl that Donnie's daughter punched was told to leave her alone but she didn't stop and his daughter couldn't take it anymore. Violence does have to be used in order for things to get better because if not then they didn't have to have all of the wars we've had

Jane everything that Donnie accomplished was also because of Dame taking the wrap for him and Apollo wife instead of sweeping Dame under the rug she should have gave Donnie the letters Dame gave to it tried to help him out and looked into what happened to Dame and try to help in some way

Dame didn’t cheat. He threw a cheap blow which has happened soo many times in boxing. But imagine the dude that you defended in a fight that he started, with the end result being him running & you serving over a decade…without a single word heard from him. Then he became the champion of the world while you sat behind bars…and once you finally got out & won, that same dude gave you zero recognition & was actually on the opposing side. IMAGINE the mental trauma from that shit…that’s why I think Dame was done wrong CONSISTENTLY throughout this movie…tbh…I think they all got lucky that Dame wasn’t a legit killer after going through all that. He handled himself the best that a person legit could in this situation.

See, what Damien realizes is that he’s older, and he’s not in his prime years anymore when it comes to the athletics of boxing.
So, now that Damien is fighting this younger boxer who’s stronger and quicker than him, he’s using a smart systematic form of “Dirty Boxing“ to intelligently break Felix down physically debilitating key bodyparts of his body in the ring to create openings for attacks so that he can easily win, and become champion. 29:38

A lot of people ask, "Why was Donnie upset with Dame?" Maybe because Dame gaslighted him into giving him a title shot, and when he was training with Felix, he was targeting his arm before their fight. As much as I love this film my only gripe was that they didn't show Dame winning more fights before fighting Adonis. Honestly, I think Donnie should've lost.

This he still had a producers credit somewhere along the line but no input.
