I have been making these for years and always a hit. Made a truckload of these for NY children's sports events using stale hamburger/hotdog buns and not a lot of expensive ingredients and could kinda personalize them, and that's been 45 yrs ago. The kids loved them and super easy to prepare. For home, just throw a salad on the side, and there's dinner. Enjoyed our visit today, thanks.

Ive been making these for years! I like to spread my garlic butter on the bread and lightly toast it in the oven before topping with the pizza toppings. I also usually make a homemade pizza sauce as well! So yummy!!

These are so wonderful and quick, especially if you have pre-cooked meat saved in the freezer. As others have mentioned, stale or reduced bread from outlet stores come in handy. Love my freezer! That's fast food right there with home goodness

Although I love Chicago-style pizza, your idea of removing some of the bread is great. Definitely going to make these. I may use sliced mozzarella. Seems like it would be a little easier and encapsulate all the toppings.

I use Bertolli marinara (sometimes their organic version from Walmart, affordable). Their marinara sauce tastes fresh and delicious just like from the Italian pizza restaurants. Thanks AB for sharing this great homemade version for the family (instead of frozen French bread pizza). You are always on the money! Quick family friendly meal on weekdays or weekends! Looks delicious. Like you mentioned I would pull some of the center of the bread out of the middle. I prefer to taste more of the goody put on top instead of a lot of bread. I'm greedy, so when I buy a carry out pizza or a sandwich I always get more meat added to both of those. 😋🙃

This flatbread pizza looks so good. Reminds me of the old Stouffer’s ones I used to buy a long time ago. But I know they taste much better.😊

All right. JB coming thru again. This quick recipe is all right bc for some reason, as much as I cook home cooked meals (specked butter bean, field peas, pizza with homemade pizza flour, etc.), my 17 yr old senior rather eat food from a restaurant. I don't get it bc I grew up in the woods and ate my 1st burger king hamburger when I was 17. Anyway, I'm trying this recipe tomorrow for dinner and I'm sure it will be a winner.

AB... season your Italian sausage with Italian seasoning and put garlic butter on your bread (not the crust)... AMAZING FLAVOR! FRFR kicks it up a notch!

I only had stoffers French Bread Pizza but I know it's better homemade. Coming from NYC I do love pizza but when I moved to the south only one place satisfied my taste buds. My family and I started making pizza with Naan bread.
