Ange's comments for ITV, about his favourite thing about these Euro's being the bravery to play very young players, are I think a hint for us next season. I think he's going to give a lot of faith to the likes of Gray, Bervall (who knows maybe a Mikey Moore), and they could be big factor in the first team as the season develops. I can't wait to see how they get on. You don't want to put too much expectation on young players. But Archie Gray is one that we would have massively regretted missing out on. Alasdair, make the most of the time with your mum. Me and you are similar in age and my mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia 2 years ago. What i would give to be able to have a conversation with her or tell her what she means to me, there isnt enough wealth on the planet. I'm not even a memory for her as she doesnt recognise me. So make sure you spend as much time with your mum when you get to Scotland, no matter how insane she drives you.
Absolutely gutted about the Gray sale and so is our whole fanbase. This kid was the best player on the park playing CM in the Cup v Chelsea. He understands football, has football tactical intelligence, well rounded and an ultimate professional. Will be worth double in two years. As a Leeds fan, its just another nail in the coffin of modern football. Kid has just turned 18 and signed his first professional contract and here he is 6 months later shipped like a piece of meat for financial reasons, agaisnt his will. Yes, it's true, the lad doesn't want to leave and is obviously from a family that is legendary at our club. First Bielsa, and now Gray. Modern football ownership simply don't see football as a supporter does. Almost want to chuck the lot in now . . . As much as I am excited to see Bergval play for spurs, I think Brentford not being able to complete the Gray deal is a sliding doors moment for Tottenham. He will have the same effect on Tottenham as the Cantona transfer from Leeds to ManU. In terms of position long term, I see Gray at 6 with Bergval at 8. Or Gray at 8 with Bergval at 10.

One of those players you take one look at and can tell he has something. His detail on his touches that allow him to stay in control and his ability to turn out will help us under pressure. But unlike Bissouma he has superb vision and that effortless passing ability that will certainly put us more on the front foot
Interesting what you said about Gary Lineker. Spurs players were always my favourite like Ginola and Bale. But my favourite non Spurs player was Matt Le Tissier. I loved watching his goals on the goals galore videos each year. It really was Roy Of The Rovers stuff with him. He could do anything on a football pitch and in training and off the pitch he always did as little as possible.

Archie Gray will play in cup games and Europa League games but will ultimately start as a back up Right Back but can see him slowly transitioning into a Centre Mid after a few years

What you said about your mum reminded me of something. A very close friend of mine was born and grew up in Tottenham but his mum was Scottish. Whenever he spoke, it would of course be in a North London accent. That is except when he spoke to his mum, at which point he would automatically adopt a Scottish accent but only in his exchanges with her. This wasn't a conscious thing, he probably wasn't even aware that he was doing it, it was like a conditioned reflex.

Hey Alasdair! Just curious, is Fabio Paratici still consulting for the club? I know we have a new structure with Munn/Lange in charge, but seeing Dragusin perform so well in Euros reminds me how much of an eye Paratici has for talent, especially with his connections in Serie A
With these 2 we could have one of the most dynamic and interchangeable midfield pairings in the entire PL in a few years time. Just hope that, if they do get loaned out, the club do their due diligence and send them somewhere that is stable and can guarantee them playing time. We've had a few disastrous loans for our young talents in the past few years.

Let’s hope it bares well for the rest of the window and we get our targets quickly and efficiently. Hoping we might do something with Skip in a swap for Summerville. I think he’d be better advised to go to Leeds who must be among the favorites for promotion next season rather than a mid table or relegation battling team. Solid player Ollie all be it a little one dimensional but there’s no top seven team that are going to take him in reality.

Well his Grandad & Great Uncle were both Leeds legends (his great uncle in particular, who managed the club twice too after his playing days were over) and his Dad had a decent journeyman career bouncing around various northern clubs. Footballing dynasties like this are rare but it's not surprising he's developed so well already - it's in his blood and he's likely had top-quality coaching throughout his life from his family members.

Interesting what you said about Gary Lineker. Spurs players were always my favourite like Ginola and Bale. But my favourite non Spurs player was Matt Le Tissier. I loved watching his goals on the goals galore videos each year. It really was Roy Of The Rovers stuff with him. He could do anything on a football pitch and in training and off the pitch he always did as little as possible.

The best thing of this is (after the signing itself) that this shows the new transfer team with Lange at the helm (as we saw last season) is Levy seems happy to let them get on withit and move quickly (something he’s not done in the past and been criticised rightly for)

Great Vid as always - great we are signing top talent and its always a risk but he has it all there - surely we will sell Royal which will pull in half the value plus Roden so he has probably cost us 15M in actual Transfer budget plus gets players off the books

Archie Gray will play in cup games and Europa League games but will ultimately start as a back up Right Back but can see him slowly transitioning into a Centre Mid after a few years

What you said about your mum reminded me of something. A very close friend of mine was born and grew up in Tottenham but his mum was Scottish. Whenever he spoke, it would of course be in a North London accent. That is except when he spoke to his mum, at which point he would automatically adopt a Scottish accent but only in his exchanges with her. This wasn't a conscious thing, he probably wasn't even aware that he was doing it, it was like a conditioned reflex.
My mum switches as she lived in England for decades.

Hey Alasdair! Just curious, is Fabio Paratici still consulting for the club? I know we have a new structure with Munn/Lange in charge, but seeing Dragusin perform so well in Euros reminds me how much of an eye Paratici has for talent, especially with his connections in Serie A

With these 2 we could have one of the most dynamic and interchangeable midfield pairings in the entire PL in a few years time. Just hope that, if they do get loaned out, the club do their due diligence and send them somewhere that is stable and can guarantee them playing time. We've had a few disastrous loans for our young talents in the past few years.

Well his Grandad & Great Uncle were both Leeds legends (his great uncle in particular, who managed the club twice too after his playing days were over) and his Dad had a decent journeyman career bouncing around various northern clubs.
Footballing dynasties like this are rare but it's not surprising he's developed so well already - it's in his blood and he's likely had top-quality coaching throughout his life from his family members.
