Perfect. Video style I love, only comment is slow down the instructions pages a bit, and paint codes would be nice. Great way to review kits I'm interested in - no faffing about, just show what's necessary, no more. Thanks. Oh BTW, are you a Deadhead (Grateful Dead legendary Dark Star recordings)
This kit suffers the same problem as a lot of Jaguar kits. The Auxiliary intake doors for the engines are only open above a certain engine power setting. with the engines stopped externally they just look like another panel .
I had the Heller version of the kit. It had a problem, and the best way I can describe it is the plastic delaminated when I sanded it; thin sheets of plastic would shed from the areas being sanded. I tried filling the blemishes with putty but that didn't work, because more sanding was necessary. The fit was crap, so sanding was required. It eventually wound up in the trash.
Heller sell a boxing of the same mould as the old 1/48 scale Airfix kit as a "Starter" set, complete with paints, on their website. It's for a very reasonable 29.99 Euros. Unfortunately, the shipping price to the UK and USA is astronomical. 😩 I suspect that the fear that Heller would get more market penetration with distributors in the UK and USA after their relaunch is one reason Airfix have held back on releasing a new Jaguar tooling.
I am just as awestruck by your professional presentation as by the quality of your model itself!
Thank you I appreciate it.
Great result with an old kit. I wish Airfix would update and release another Jaguar in 1/48. Love your style of video build!
Thanks! 👍
lovely job ! I built a Gulf War and a grey one , nice kit !
Thanks

I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I'm pleased with the result. Thanks.

Good to know. Hopefully there will be a new kit of this aircraft soon.

Shame...I don't have any Heller kits in my stash which may be a good thing but they have lots of interesting models in their catalogue.
Like it....👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Thank you 👍
I would love to build something like this, any tips on where to buy these older kits (this one specifically?)
According to scalemates Heller are rereleasing this kit later this year.
🖐👍👍
thanks
great job. I would love to get my hands on a 1/48 Jaguar. Very hard to find.
You'd think Airfix must release a new one soon. Maybe a "surprise" release this year.
