LOVE it. I would say, given the ubiquity of older PC's to use one of them instead, though you are 100% correct as they are reliable like crazy and use virtually no electricity. I'd run TwisterOS it works great, plus it is way cool looking and not daunting.
Used pi 3b+ with dicaffeine and webcam to stream a 1080p signal to our stream pc for our church. Sadly it didnt even deliver good result on 720p. 3b+ is too weak and webcam has no h264 output. Dont even know if dicaf supports h264 webs. Thats why i didnt even bother buying a pi 4, many comments say it would still struggle at 1080p mjpeg. Now im back to using usb to ethernet extenders. Havent tried pi cameras which has direct access to gpu with h264, there is also another ndi streamer especially for pi cameras called raspindi. Haven't tested it yet tho.
