Can't help but think that gas can is equally as rare as the car nowadays lol but awesome vid n happy to see an old air cooled Porsche live to see another day.
In my Grandma opinion, there is no way this car has only $26K miles. There's too many repairs. Even if it was "ridden hard and put away wet", you wouldn't have all the obvious damage and tacky fixes. I remember these cars when they were new, they were very expensive and considered status symbols. Some "speed demon" messed it up: I'm thinking it was an insurance repair (low ball auto body shop fixed it up). No love shown to this car. It's nice you guys are now showing it some love. Enjoyed the vid (-:
We were also having some doubts on the odometer mileage. Hopefully we can get a mileage study done on the car and get a little more insight. Thanks for tuning in!! 😄
Why don't you drop the engine and trans, clean them, replace all those rotten hoses, give it a good inspection. It's easier to do all that with them out of the car.
Hey Mario, I’m not sure if this information is relevant to the Porsche in this video but a lot of times on older import vehicles the spark plugs that are listed in the parts catalog are no longer compatible for the car. The reason why is because at the time that the vehicle was manufactured the spark plugs put out a different amount of ohm’s. So before you go ahead and replace the spark plugs make sure that whichever ones you install are in fact putting out the correct amount of ohms for that engine. Otherwise you’ll be chasing down misfires and you’re not gonna know what it is. Sreten from M539 Restorations covered this topic in one of the BMWS that he revived recently, and here’s a very good video of his that covers all of the stuff that you should do with that car before you get it back on the road again. I recommend that you watch these videos and replace all of the rubber fuel hoses and filters, and basically anything he covers here in these videos. They are very informative and hopefully you’ll find it useful as well: 1. ua-cam.com/video/3dpFu1nJBec/v-deo.html 2. ua-cam.com/video/u0tyVQ1iXUg/v-deo.html
There's nothing quite like the feeling when you make an old motor spit fire again! Sounds like with a few parts replacements and tending to some bits and pieces this car could be out on the street fairly soon Mario! As always don't forget to pay due attention to the brakes brother man!
Yup it’s a fun one! We will be restoring as far as we see fit, mechanically and paint etc and offering it up possibly on BAT. The one that was for sale was my 73 911T (coupe) which was sold last month. Both white so they are easy to mix up 😄
Siiiiick video and the editing was dope
Side note, LOTS MORE MOUSE NESTS THAN WHAT WE FOUND WOW
Thanks bro!! Haha yup this car was an apartment complex for the mice 😬

Tail gone! Thank Goodness 😎 Trying to stay positive on this one. Can you lose the bumper over riders too - simplify the look.
Haha we felt the same way!! We were thinking about removing those as well but they were factory for that year so they most likely will stay for now ✊🏼
Sorry don’t like the wheels prefer the cookie cutters.
Lol yup the big wheels were a joke :) also the car will be getting some Fuchs ✊🏼
Great without that turbo wing

Will do!
Fun project! This a keeper? Thought you were going to sell this.
