Creating a new series/name might not be a good idea, the series is already running and the transition for DC characters can be done easilly, the name Omega level is know enough so old viewers know what to expect and maybe catch the attention of new ones. My opinion though

Nothing would beat The One Above All. Because he's always known past, present, and future, even if you can assume Protégé could copy his powers and supplant him, he'd know this was going to happen and Protégé would have never even been allowed to exist in the first place. Even if he did, The One would show up and just instantly strip away his powers. There's no fight. It'd be like flipping off a switch.

You know he was too powerful when the way he was defeated was unexplained. He is a hard character to write.
Makes no sense actually. If he can mimic any power, then no one short of TOAA should be able to defeat him. In fact they've hinted he could even copy TOAA's power itself so in that case it makes even less sense that he was defeated by some celestial in conjunction with the Living Tribunal.

I'm not super into comics as far as reading entire publications and what not. But I always loved reading the origins of characters and their life stories on Wikipedia. This is even better. I've watched other people try to do these same things but their crap. The level of enthusiasm that comes across along with the images that correlate with your explanations and reasoning are just great. Keep it up!!!! Can't get enough!!!!

Omega level is still good, Protégé was closer to 36 issues and he first copied the powers of the Guardians of the Galaxy he could also copy ability.

Hey Rob, I think that the One Above All could be him. Because he rules over the entire multiverse, there are multiple Living Tribunals, but the One Above All is omnipresence he exists everywhere in every time in every universe, I think he could just will Protege out of existence or make him blind without him even releasing it. One Above All is god in the marvel universes, that or Jack Kirby, or Stan Lee.

exactly. i don't remember if beyonder was retconned in this story but also does not matter. he did had absurd level of power but what made him an interesting character was his struggle to justify his existance, thus giving his powers to various ppl, trying to feel pain, having sex with hookers etc. now protege....well, this is what lazy writing looks like. since he had to see a power to copy it, easy, backstab, he is dead, done. this is not just lazy writing, it's stupid. too bad he could have been an interesting character...

@@wallie8539 the beyonder had no weaknesses, at least pre-retcon, but he was never boring. what mattered was the stories and they were good and made sense for the time. bad arcs and lazy writing is what kills a character and makes him super boring, no matter his powers or weaknesses, biggest example to me the sentry. SS for example was not the most powerfull guy, but his stories were very good.

For starters despite claiming to be omnipotent on different occasions, he had to exert himself to defeat the Molecule Man, he was once emotionally overloaded by the Rachel Summers Phoenix wielding a portion of his power, after which he collapsed on the ground, his power was also temporarily stolen by Doctor Doom, and he briefly transferred it to a machine, or gave half of it to the Dazzler. And he stated that he would have trouble bringing back Death.

Yeah, what everyone else said basically. If I remember correctly Shuma Gorath actually killed the Galactus of that universe and made his remains into some sort of engine of war. That's what you were seeing when it showed Galactus' face without skin or flesh.

I think that protege wouldn't copy his ability cause TOAA Omni and can erase protege even if he have his powers cause TOAA is smarter and he probably found infinity ways to beat protege and the only one that can over power TOAA is himself so ya he can beat protege even if protege have his powers

Solo Spectre Protoge kept saying that by copying the LT's power, he was the new TOAA. In other words, Protoge, like many before him, mistakingly believed the LT was TOAA.
Solo Spectre if protege was defeated LT and celestial he aint that strong he is not beating pre retcon beyonder or TOAA
Also one of many things to point out is that the Living Tribunal that Protege defeated was just an M-body (Manifestation/Avatar) of the true multiversal Living Tribunal. Though it doesn't take away from the fact that the Living Tribunal still considered Protege a threat even to himself.

After the ability to copy abilities was gone? It's the classic method to get rid of beings that aren't omniscient/precognitive. If you hit them before they can react, they can't react.
Keep the title, also i love the idea of taking this series to other comics besides of Marvel, with characters like Spawn, superboy prime, etc.
It seems that Protege's fatal flaw was that because he could only duplicate abilities after he has seen them, instant one-hit-KO moves would be supereffective against him because he wouldnt have time to react and therefore match that kind of attack.
