Why aren't they more popular? Great sounding, feel-good music. They did a concert in my school yesterday and I loved it

Such a fine arrangement of Humours of Ballyloughlin to open this set - y'all are delightful to listen to, and DAMN fine players all!

This performance is among my favourites across the entire UA-cam and physical media folk collection. Special kudos to the guitarist, he really sets the standard from the start :)
Every single one of you shows instrumental provess that's off the scale, but the uncannily precise coordination between all of you is what really sets this piece apart.
Jolly good job, thanks a bunch for this ! :)
PS post even more videos, please.

I had the pleasure of attending their concert in Kimberley BC a few years back and have to credit the tenor banjo for changing my mind on the sound tenor banjo. It literally caused me to stop hating the sound and now I play one myself. Obviously not as well as this man but they really drive a tune along with a voice unlike other instruments that really cuts through. A number of years back my musical friends and I were walking away from an outdoor session and the very last instrument to still be audible was the tenor banjo. Caladh nua is a great group and I have a signed cd that reminds me of their talent every time I play it.

Your man on the banjo was let out of his padded cell for the first time specially for this gig.

How the hell does the girl play the fiddle with the pegs not swapped over, it must be impossible to plat an F on the E string, excellent set, well played

David Kelley I’m a lefty, and did play a bit of fiddle, but I soon swapped the pegs over, no way I could play F natural!

3:49 Dear goodness, she's a genius! Why bother with some string-laden stick when you can just bow your violin directly with the entire rosin cake? (I jest, but I am mad jealous of even being able to justify needing that much rosin! Some day... some day!)
