HAND CANNON (S&W M29 .44 MAGNUM COMPILATION)

The Smith and Wesson Model 29 in .44 magnum, often referred to as the "most powerful handgun in the world", dominated '70s and '80s Hollywood, most often in its 8 3/8 inch barrel configuration. Made explosively popular by Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" films, the Model 29 was the weapon of choice for lawmen and vigilantes, and their blued-steel frame, tough construction and brute strength were often a reflection of the characters who carried them. The Model 29's Hollywood throne was usurped in the late '80s and early '90s by the Magnum Research .50 Desert Eagle.
