- My kramer has been upgraded through the years. I put a tone zone in the neck position,a paf pro in the bridge position. Also replaced the Floyd from a fender Sambora strat . I had to put new pins for the Floyd. Stays locked in tune. New wiring and Les Paul switch. This thing has been heavily gigged. And it never failed me. Love it. If you find one? Snag it.
We are the same age. I got my "real" electric in 1986. It's a Kramer XL in forest green. Still have it. Has the Fender style basic trem and a single slanted humbucker. I upgraded from a knock off black strat to this and thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Thanks for sharing!
u were probably the coolest kid on the block lol, just like when i first got my 8 string
Yeah I was the envy of a lot of kids. Lol
I havent tried an 8 string yet how are they? Is the top string a D?
@@kevykev38 i love my 8 string, standard is f# b e a d g b e but i play in e a d g c f a d or instead of a low e a low d
Ive got a Kramer Striker 300ST that was my first guitar at the age of around 15 and i loved it. It doesn't get played anymore but I've considered pulling it out and getting it whipped into shape. I sold the Marshall Studio15 amp that I bought with it... that was a big mistake. I think the value has tripled since I bought it in the 80's.
That's a great guitar. It's hard to believe they considered vintage now.
I play out with mine. And replaced pickups. And replaced the Floyd. Plays nuce
I have a white one from 83? I think?? Lol anywho, same color as yours and everything but mine has the original Floyd. Wonder when they switched to their own version? 🤔
I sold the original Floyd sadly .
Man the stories that could tell! Never part with it!
It's still sounds good I had to replace A few things but overall it's original.
