Something I did on my Floyd Rose 1000 besides changing all the bolts and string blocks with titanium, was to upgrade the fine tuners to the real german ones. I just turned the fine tuners all the way out until you get to the little crimp they put at the bottom of the fine tuner screw to keep it in. There's a little bit of resistance but once you get past that it pops out. The new installed German fine tuners are way smoother in there now.

    I just bought a Focus 3000 1984
So excited! I didnt know much about it, just the Focus series were made by ESP Japan, and that was a good reason to get it! Keep it rockin’!
    Thanks for the video!

I like that burnt metal look with the hardware! (or whatever those finishes are called).
    Cheers from Canada dude!

Thanks man - me too! 🙏 I think Floyd calls theirs burnt chrome, but the company that did the tuners called them rainbow metallic or something 🤷‍♂️🤣🎸. Different names for the same cool finish! 😆. I’m also Canadian! Cheers my man!🍻🍻

Thanks! Hilariously, even though I posted that take separately in another video that did NOT get a copyright claim (I made the backing track and play everything; drums are digital) for some reason, YT decided to slap a claim on this video so it’s ineligible for monetization (at least for me - copyright holder takes all ad revenue 🤦‍♂️). As an aside, YT won’t make my channel eligible for monetization until I hit 1K subs 🤷‍♂️. This copyright stuff is silly though. Like not even a performance percentage, and no recourse that doesn’t jeopardize them shutting down my channel. Brutal.

@@dexdeimos425 And you can’t to a YT live until 1k I believe. The copyright stuff is brutal on YT Rick Beato discusses it pretty i depth from time to time. The sad thing to me is it actually reduces exposure of music that most have never heard (old niche stuff especially). Most major labels are really hard up these days though just like all legacy media so YT has to be super struck because the labels are just itching to sue them for Google bucks lol!

i have a 2000 in white as well. Owned it since 93. I think yours may be earlier 81 or 82. mine is 83 and has 3d logo. In 84 headstock changed to pointy one. my serial is 04010 so yours is def before 83. Stock pups were decent. These early focus guitars are really good. longer they were made the less quality they were. Also, that non fine tuner floyd is also an indicater earlier model.

Thanks, that’s sort of what I was thinking too 🤔. Really incredible guitar - I’ve got a Focus 6000 from a few years after this which is also rock solid. Cheers! 🍻🎸⚡️

Nice review. I used to have a purple Kramer like that back in the late 80s. Maybe the same model. Can't say for sure. It was a cool guitar. I should've hung on to it.

Thanks man! Yeah, I’ve sold a few along the way too that I’m really regretting! 🤣 Shame that purple one got away - I don’t think that’s a common colour option. 🎸🎸

It would be interesting to try and rewind the original pick-ups…

    • @dexdeimos425
      @dexdeimos425  Рік тому +1

Maybe, but the ones that came with this guitar were definitely not original. Get this, they were also wired in upside down and out of phase 😆😆😆

@@dexdeimos425 Isn’t that a Hendrix thing? Probably just a screw up I guess. Would be interesting though to hear a rewind but those guitars have gotten pretty rare. Kramer collectors rarely sell lol!

Hi! Is the bridge pickup a Paf Pro or a 36th Aniversary?

Thats an awesome guitar mate, love the channel, where do you get the rainbow coloured hardware ?, looks awesome

Thanks so much! 🙏 I got the bridge and nut directly from the Floyd Rose site a few years back. They only seem to do the burnt chrome finish runs once every couple of years. 🤷‍♂️

@@dexdeimos425 ah that makes sense, I've never seen them before, there are some tuners and knobs in that finish on Ali express but nothing that really looks an upgrade in quality

What pickups did you install in it?

    • @dexdeimos425

DiMarzio PAF anniversary in the bridge. The neck is just a no name pup I bought on the local classifieds. The guy I bought it from said it was a Wilkinson, however, I have never EVER seen a pink Wilkinson 😂🤷‍♂️🤣. It sounds ok though. 🎸

Thanks. I just bought a 2000. Should be delivered to me soon. Seems a good value given Made In Japan and given today's prices for a Made In japan guitar like the reissued Kramer Baretta. Gibson wants $2100 for that.@@dexdeimos425

Enjoy the new axe! I’m sure you’ll love it! I prefer this one over the more modern pacers I have. Cheers! 🎸🍻
