- Six Flags Great Adventure is finally open and I was there on the first day to give you the inside scoop. I'll give you tips on how to have a successful day and help you decide whether or not going to Six Flags is the right choice for you and your family in the midst of the COVID-19 craziness.

The lines were fine when I went but I'd imagine it was because it was on a normal week day

Is a Friday okay?
I was planning a trip to Great Adventure in August. (This was planned before COVID). I was so excited when I heard it was re-opening and that my family was okay with still going. But, after hearing what it's like, we're going to cancel our trip. A huge deal breaker for me is the Justice League ride being closed (so sad, I love that ride). Rides being closed, and long lines, makes it not worth it for a 5 hour drive/overnight hotel stay.
Yeah, I don't blame you. Things could get better in the coming weeks, but it might be best to wait for a big trip like that!
I take it back. Went to Six Flags today and there was NO ONE there. All the lines were very small. The whole Justice league and water rides situation is the same, but all of the coasters are up and running!
Great Adventure Guide interesting, thanks for the update. I think I’m still gonna wait to have the trip next year when jersey devil is open.
How much time would you think are the lines for the rides
At this point it's hard to say since it was the first day. Most of the lines would have been close to an hour if not longer on opening day (for major rides). We will see how good or bad the operations are as they get their system down. The kids areas were mostly empty.

Can u buy merchandise from stores still
Yup! Almost all of the stores are open. Unfortunately, their largest store by the front entrance is currently being remodeled, but most of the merchandise that was in there can be found around the park.
Are all the games open?
Yes, almost all of the games were open. There were a couple of spots in the boardwalk section closer to Superman that were being renovated though.
Are flash passes available?
Yes they are. They were actually selling them over by the mirror maze/ferris wheel, if I remember correctly.
Great Adventure Guide is that the only place to get them now? Or is the building near The Joker still open?
