Fun fact (or not so fun): this is one of the few episodes Matt and Trey later apologized for (particularly for Gary Condit and JonBenet Ramsey's parents) after they were actually cleared. Interviewer: Do you owe anyone an apology for how you portrayed them? Stone: I can tell you exactly who we were wrong about - Gary Condit. We did a Gary Condit joke where we just said: “You know you killed your intern. You know you’re guilty.” When someone is arrested for something or pointed at for doing something, our brains go guilty until proven innocent, you know? Condit however, hindered investors by denying he had an affair with Chandra levy and they had a sealed indictment to prosecute the Ramsays but the case was circumstancial. Most experts still agree it was a family member.
This episode is a classic. Stan, Kyle, and Cartman don't appear elsewhere in this episode, except for this last scene. Then, without warning: Butters was missing?
