Beautiful fish Tommy. Great call on the pogies. We fished Sunday morning and the shrimp did nothing for the trout. All fish caught were before the tide change. Water looked great but man it was hot. Thanks again for the post. You are the professor the coast! Be safe out there.
Beautiful morning pictures from the coast. I bet you can see my church St. Thomas at LONG BEACH where I went to church and school when I was a kid. Starting dove season here in Tennessee this Friday good luck fishing this week will be watching.
4:20 ... I can tell ya this. My brother had a fingerling black bass in an aquarium. It ate a minow almost it's own size and swam around for a week with a tail hanging out of its mouth until it finally finished digesting it. My guess.... 15" trout do something similar. I know I caught a 23" trout with 7" AND 9" mullet in her belly while surf fishing with a 6" Top Dog Mirro0-Lure..... Nice clip... Thanks.
Tommy i feel foolish telling the live bait big trout master really anything, but i use to dump my poogies in a 5 gallon bucket of water then dip net them out and put them in a live well. They say that they mess in the water and that kills them. Just old school trick.
That does help for sure. When the water is this hot you only have about an hour of them at full strength. Then they get weak. Best time is fall and spring to use Pogey. Croaker is most durable for sure
The quality of fish you have been catching this summer is amazing. . Might not be the numbers you see in grand isle but the quality is there. Great job
@@tommyvidrine I haven’t been going as much lately wind is usually Blowing out the south and beats the water up on the beach, sometimes it changes outta the north later In the night and I go then and from time to time I’ll have to move around and find some clean water
