    I love this tune and what a gorgeous interpretation, the fluidity and subtle rhythm flexing throughout is a delight. Thanks to the Great Carolan & Dave Hill’s playing for bringing it so vibrantly to life. One love.

    What a fine piece of music! Turlough O'Carolan was such a brilliant composer of these early Irish tunes. It has been a pleasure listening to your playing, Dave. Keep the tradition going as harp music is ethereal and heavenly.

    A comment on Reddit suggested that this piece inspired the Star Wars AOTC version of the Imperial March and the Game of Thrones theme

    Did this Dave Hill record other pieces? I see the cover of a cassette with a harp and his name at the beginning of this video? Could you share more from him?

    • @lindamon8
      @lindamon8  Рік тому +2

      I'm not aware of any other recordings by Dave, other than what's on this (and another) cassette. I saw him play at Beverley Folk Club a couple of times. I went to his house where he kindly gave me a copy of another cassette he did on the life and music of Turlough O'Carolan. I'll see if I can find it.

      @@lindamon8His playing sounds amazing! Do you know of any way to get in touch with him? I’d love to purchase a copy of his cassettes. If not, would you mind uploading what you have to UA-cam? This is some of the best harp music I’ve heard
