Doing scary things at Pinnacles National Park

In May 2023 we spent a day walking at the incredibly beautiful Pinnacles National Park in Central California.
Climbing through the cave on the Balconies Cave Trail was probably the scariest thing I've done in years. I commiserated with a couple of young children we met on the trail who were also nervous about the caves. I decided to be the brave adult and encourage them saying "It's good to do scary things sometimes". Ha ha, I was really just trying to encourage myself.
