You probably already know this but….If you do the pour over method you avoid that buildup at the free edge of the nail. Use a cuticle pusher as a scoop and a cupcake liner to collect the extra to put back in the container. Cuts WAY down on filing!
Your filing is always SO good! That's one of my worst steps lol. When wiping off the activator, I suggest using alcohol. That's what I always do. I also wipe the top coat brush on a paper towel between coats.
Just a tip here, anytime you're using the dip nail process you need to wipe the top coat brush off after every nail it touches before putting it back in the bottle or even the best and most expensive dip nail system will seize up on you.
You’ve always helped me choose the best polygel and gel polish for me and mostly I bite my nails a lot, so I always dreamed of having long nails. I tried a lot of techniques which you have taught and they turned out amazing! TYSM!!!
@Just Sayori from a former nail biter this is iffy situation it can either help or not personally it never helped but I did eventually grow out of nail biting to a point I’ll still do it when I’m stressed
My friends used to bite there nails but I told them if they put either fake acrylic nails or if you paint your nails you reduce your biting because acrylic and nail polish isn't healthy.
I love your voice you are such a good nail tech/influencer! Your one of my favorite UA-camrs. You make sure that we don’t buy stuff that aren’t what it should be! You test these products out to make sure they are what they should be! I love your channel so much!
I am obsessedddddd with your videos. Because of you I save money getting my nails done because you’ve taught me how to do them myself. Lol no one competes. Thank you 🙏 💕
As a fellow DIY-er, I'd highly recommend curling the fingers over to cut the cuticle instead so you can rest your cutting hand on the other hand so its a lot more stable. Also, use a tapered barrel diamond bit to help with the last bit, makes a huge difference in how cuticles look after
Love it. I saw someone who cleaned the top coat brush into the cleaner after each nail. She cleaned the brush off after taking out it out of the cleaner with paper towel with alcohol or gel cleaner on it. That kept the top coat brush from getting hard. Also can you try the solid nail glue.
@@hollyshobbies7692 depends on the method tbh. I am garbage at acrylic but for polygel with full cover tips or even just full cover tips with gel polish, they stay at least 3 weeks
I've never tried dip nails but these look very simple to do. But then again, you make doing nails look easy 😅You make me wanna record myself doing nails too 🤩
Ya... man I can’t help but think about the people who are making these nail products and likely doing so in, if not a sweatshop, than highly likely it’s a terrible working conditions and handling all these chemicals all day. in China, no doubt.

If you use gel liquids instead of the dip ones it will give you all the time in the world until you cure! Works so much better. Also makes the layers thinner
If your brush hardens, that means you still have powder on your nails your best to use rubbing alcohol to clean your nails, also, you can use a clear coat of dip powder so you don’t file too much of the color also use Vaseline around the bottle ridges so when you close them up, you can open them up next time you go to do your nails
Oh my, I hope I remember when my kit arrives. Meanwhile, I saved and created a folder for this YT post. Thank you for sharing this. I drove 1.5 hours ONE way for my current acrylics (we live in the "kun"try and everything is usually 60 or more minutes away. So, this is a better deal for me overall I believe.
I love dip powder nails!! it has honestly changed everything for me lol, I tired the kiss dip powder set for Christmas instead of going to a salon and it is so good I'm going to continue doing my nails at home, just need to invest in some gel polishes and a nail drill to really clean my cuticles
Some of the cheap stuff REALLY works 💯 these look great and I forget all the time you can do the dip like this , I just can’t with monomer! Thank you for this video! 💜
I’ve been doing long nails lately but it’s difficult fastening my sons car seat lol. So I am going back to short nails. These colors were beautiful on your skin tone!

You saved beauty school first semester for me, the only sad thing is that I can't get my hands on the great stuff from Amazon since the shipping to south America is EXPENSIVE but that's on me, love you! Thanks and keep up your amazing work! Also a lot of love And good vibes for hubby, baby and you!
I just recently started watching this woman, on here, that does dip powder nails regularly. I found out that a lot of people are actually getting sick because of the chemicals in the dip glue. I guess they get really sick and only feel better once they stop using their dip powders. 😬 I have a dip powder kit, but couldn't stand the intense super glue smell coming from the dip glue, but I guess you can do dip powder with gel. Just replace the glue with a gel base coat. Could you try doing dip with gel base coat instead of the dip glue? You can use any base coat with any dip powders that you already have. If you can/will, thank you! ❤
I don’t doubt it. People seriously need to stop buying from these companies cranking out these cheap nail products on Amazon. The novelty has ever run off, it’s been done, It’s over. Think about the workers who are making this stuff. You know it’s in an undeveloped country with little to no regulations for work environments all those chemicals and airborne particles. They are the ones who are likely getting sick.
I have only had my nails done twice in my life. One time was because I was bridesmaid another was also a wedding but for a sibling. The nails look really nice but I ended up having to go back and get the nail technician to remove the nails because I could not successfully remove them on my own. I made sure to enjoy them until it was no longer practical for me to keep them. I just dont have the patience to maintain them. I appreciate the good nail technicians, its not easy
