it was so recognizeable it always sounded so good right before the trumpets played

when us perrcussionists in the back read "add as many shakers/gourds as possible" we thought "I accept this challenge!" So now when we play it I hold two shakers, someone else holds two shakers, someone holds maracas, and someone holds the beaded gourd when he's not smashing cymbals and it sounds amazing
We sadly only have 4 shakers
I ended up being the only one to add shakers. The rest of them just played the whole song

for the solo part earlier today, our band teachers decided that other people (non-percussionists) would have shakers while we focus on the solo, so now one of us percussion plays 2 (i forgor the instrument but the bottom line on the bongo sheet) and i play that for the entire thing

MH4U25 yeah bassoon is AMAZING, from the low parts even though you can play high, the high parts even though you can play low, and we can’t forget the rests. but at least we get to be friends with the trombones

I played timpani for this and my eyes and wrist still hurt, and when I tell u my band director wanted me to be WAY more louder than it already is for timpani, well I had to, and um I was really nervous cuz the whole band and audience was looking at me and percussion and I felt myself sweating on my hands and I was like "NO not TODAY HONEY" in the end i made them notes, crescendos and decrescendos the way my director told me to :')

This conga part is 👌👌👌👌 My band director doesn’t know squat about percussion so she gave me (the best percussion) the timpani part and gave some average player who does band just because “it’s easy” the conga part and we’re good friends so we just switched and she doesn’t even care.
