man, my brother and i had almost all of the ljn figures as kids in the 80s my dad always spoiled us because he had nothing growing up while his grandmother raised him and his mom worked 2 jobs my folks bought a bigger house in 1996 when i was 16, we threw out a bunch of stuff that was just gathering dust in the basement and moved to the other house all the ljn figures got tossed in the trash, had the ring too
Awesome video!! I remember staring at the back of the packaging with my brothers wondering if the Bulldogs would ever be in stores and totally calling out that Mr.Wonderful painted like Brutus!
Awesomeness video! I just want to make one correction, Haku was originally pictured in his King Haku attire, and was changed yes, but it was not to represent the Islanders (although the Islanders did in fact wear these tights) he was changed into his colossal connection attire. I would estimate that 99% of even the most hardcore LJN collectors and admirers make this mistake! But Haku did in fact wear these tights as one half of the Colossal Connection, whom were the WWF tag team champions when the black card series hit the toy stores.
did any Hilly Billy Jim Figures release with black shirt? I remember having both, red and black, ( As a kid, I would always look for the Rickey Steamboat with Red Pants, and never found one, I know why now! lol
I had to google who this Matt Cardona was. Got all the cool prototype figures and all. Zack Ryder the WWE wrestler? Pretty cool. However, I met a guy who has a collection that would rival Cardonas. He had one of those Jimmy Hart prototypes with the painted shoes and all. He had so many mint condition and brand new LJNs that it would blow your mind. He had at least 4 times the amount of LJN figures that Matt Cardona has. Im talking at least 5 or 6 copies of every figure in mint condition and all of them brand new in cases. Not to take away any thunder from Cardonas amazing collection, but my boy big Ron could show ya'll a thing or two.
Yeah I don’t think Matt’s known as much for his LJNs moreso the overall presence of prototypes in his collection. I think I know your buddy too. Great pieces!
I don't know. I've seen some huge LJN collections that would put your buddy's to shame. I only have one complete set of LJNs loose mint, but I also have dozens of other complete toylines from the 80s and I know people who have even more massive collections. It's nothing to really brag about, to come on here and say your buddy would show up other collectors and show them a thing or two when some LJN collectors have multiple complete sets MOC and multiple prototypes and even prototypes of LJN WWF lines that were never even released that are way more impressive than a Jimmy Hart prototype.
Cool video. Enjoy stuff like this a lot. I never had any ljn's I can remember. I grew up on the Hasbro's for sure. I like the rubber figure idea for playing with them. To bad the paint wears off though. Def need to hold a few just to feel them out.
Back in the day we didn't care about the paint wearing off. These were played with out in mud holes, creeks, and cleaned up during matches in the bath tub. The paint held up pretty good though.
The paint wear is actually pretty easy to clean up. All you need to do is put on some similar colored paint on the scuffed area, slap on some Modge Podge on those areas and then wait for it to dry. I don’t know about scuffs on the face though
@@FTW54 He sold it to me, but not for $45k. It was a package deal that also included the unreleased Gene Okerlund prototype (which was the one I wanted most) and an Andre the Giant unpainted prototype / sales sample.
@@FigHeel The pose is the same, however, the figure itself is bulkier, similar to the first Mean Gene. I wouldn't be surprised if they were reviewed at the same time and were told to slim both characters down. The first Jimmy hart also has rims around his shades.
No Barbarian because Powers of Pain were in the midst of going solo, so McMahon had to shift gears. And no Smash because of royalty issues, so McMahon cancelled him.
Hey @figheel have you found the new ultimate edition fiend and hulk hogan in the wild yet? I found them both at target just sitting there omg it felt like Christmas! Just wondering cause I don’t think you have a review on them.
@@FigHeel - thanks, regardless of the tech issue the video was highly enjoyable. I liked and watched the whole thing. Also the vehicles set with figures I believe was for the cartoon show at the time, Hogan's car is the same from the toon.
My favorite wrestling figures of all time!
They’re awesome!

Ugh that hurt my heart
I always thought that Hulk Hogan should have come with a tear-away Hulkamania t-shirt
That’s have been awesome
Hell yea I think of figure ideas all the time 😂that would be awesome
Awesome video!! I remember staring at the back of the packaging with my brothers wondering if the Bulldogs would ever be in stores and totally calling out that Mr.Wonderful painted like Brutus!
Haha you got a good eye brother!
The articulated ljn figures are easily my most wish they were made figures out of any other wrestling figures that never made it to retail

You’re right. Good call
In the same group photo with Ted Arcidi, you will notice the Jake the Snake has painted details around the snake heads on his tights.
You’re right!

I think the repainted Paul Orndorff thumb wrestler is meant to represent Tito Santana

What catalog where the wrestlers pictured in cloth? I vaguely remember seeing that back in the 80s?
I forget but I want to say it was jcp
Would be better if you compared them to the actual releases
I want the Miss Elizabeth action figures, this such a great video
Thanks brother!
There is another Johnny Valiant prototype that has black shoes, different color hair and glasses than what's shown here.
Nicr

They’re definitely an acquired taste. You’d be surprised how heavy they are lol

Aside from Kamala's mask, the cross-sell prototype photos of Kamala have an entirely more elaborate paint scheme vs the production figure.
There were a few different Kamala schemes in promo but it’s a design that won’t be identical when hand painted so I left them out
I remember my mom and I going to stores to look for Kamala
@@QuiverWS6 same she found me one
cardona says he sold that naked miss elizabeth for 45k 🤑.....awesome video man really cool
He did!
Damn, that might have been the coolest figure in the collection. Wonder who bought it? They might have an even better collection.
@@FigHeel No he didn’t - I’m the buyer.
@@jimmyvan7098 he didn't what? as in he didn't end up selling it to you at all? or he sold it you but for less than 45k?

Thank you!!

Great knowledge mate, I need to replicate this level of detail when I do similar
Thanks brother
The Jimmy Hart prototype is an alternate sculpt, not just a different paint job.
What is different about the pose?

I have Never Seen a nude Miss.Elizabeth action figure even in a video review like this.. Interesting!
Weird right?

much love and respect fig heel!
🤘🏼🤘🏼
Dude, fix sound. Music is toooo loud when you're not speaking
Interesting. Not loud on my phone, tv or computer. Potentially could be a device audio setting
Agreed. The music is ridiculously loud when the voiceover goes silent.
good vid , just this music is like putting vicks vapor rub directly into your nose! its more than a tad loud!
Very loud lol
No Barbarian because Powers of Pain were in the midst of going solo, so McMahon had to shift gears. And no Smash because of royalty issues, so McMahon cancelled him.
The license ending was the reasoning for the cancellations actually!
The series ended in '89, the POP didn't split up until 1990.
Amazing stuff you got fig heel like it a lot keep up the good work
Thanks brother
I had that george the animal steel but the later version
I kove these unreleased vids.
Thank you so much. They take a lot of time!
Great video man, really interesting!
Thanks for watching man!
Who's the articulated prototype next to Sheik at the end in the Misc. Prototypes pic?
Hulk Hogan and bundy!
This was awesome thank you brother
Thanks man. I put a lot of work into it!

I love this i want to collect these but don’t got the money lol
The cars are from rock n wrestling n I would of loved that
Me too!
Was for sale
Nope these are all unreleased pieces!
Awesome collection! How much $ you think youve spent on all of it?
It’s hard to say over so many years haha A lot, but nowhere near its appraisal. Thank god 😂
Nice I never liked wwf ljn figures but nice video and music
Thanks brother. Means a lot
Dude, the loud music ruins your video, please turn it down so that you can be heard clearly
