This is exactly what I was looking for, very helpful tutorial, perfect tutorial very easy to understand. thank you so much for your help. have a great day.
Amazing tutorial. I have been searching everywhere on how to do this. Is there any way I can do this without photoshop? I can't afford another subscription. I use photopea a lot and have the pro version of canvas. Thank you so much.
I have seen a workaround using Windows software - I haven't used Photopea, but it is theoretically possible if there is a shapes option. Alternatively, could you try the free trial? Adobe often has a 14-day option, which is ideal for making a few quick frames for future use.
@@ThinkWonky I’ll try that. Thank you so much. If it works out then I’ll consider photoshop on the future. I’m not familiar with it at all. Thank you so so much.
@@user-lr5cx1ni4r Good luck! Photoshop can be a bit of a learning curve for beginners, but you only need a few steps to create a frame; hopefully, the tutorial will be enough to guide you.
Hello , your tutorials are really helpfull. I have a question , How to be if I want to place photo not parralel to the viewer, when I created the shape, I need furher to place photo in perspective, how to achive this? Thank you
To create a textured frame it is best to do it in Illustrator. But there are a few hacks. I have included some here: ua-cam.com/video/2GsCwR2HRCM/v-deo.html
@@ThinkWonky hey. i just followed your tutorial. im actually a beginner using Photoshop, so far i can follow your tutorial. but i wanna ask, how if we can create like textured effect (let say, a leather bag, we can see the texture of it) of the mockup and add shadow so that our mockup looks more realistic? really appreciate if you could make the tutorial 😊
@@bubsgal106 you can make textured frames in Illustrator, but there is a cheeky Canva hack too - I’ll do a tutorial on it for next week! Great question, thanks. 💕
@@bubsgal106 I’m not sure I understand this question. Same size what? Shape? Usually, when you click the Canvas, the proportions are those of the original path. Can you clarify?
Hi Collette. I do have a question. How can I accomplish creating a custom frame from part of the image. For example….let’s say I only wanted the middle portion of the image to be a frame? I notice you kept only the paths and remove the image. How can this be done by keeping the image and making only a part of it a frame?
Thanks for your question. In this case, Only open and export that individual shape OR, when all the layers have been imported into Canva, delete those you don't need. Hope that helps. 😊
Photopea doesn't support this way of creating a Canva frame. The best option is to create a silhouette, cut it out, and import the white frame to Canva (placing an image or video beneath the cut-out space). It's not ideal, but it's an option.
Hey! Thanks for this tutorial, it already helped me a great deal. However, each time I upload my Photoshop PDF into Canva, it's not frames that come in but photos. So I can't adjust or remove the background. Any idea what could be going wrong here? I've tried uploading a new design from the PDF, as well as pasting the PDF in an empty Canva file.
Interesting! I have never come across that problem before. If you message me on Instagram (instagram.com/postagrid), I will give you my email. Then, record your screen and send it to me and I’ll try to help.
Unfortunately not. I have had a lot of requests to do a Photopea tutorial, so I tried it and became familiar with it. Despite looking and feeling very similar to Photoshop, it unfortunately doesn't have the same functionality (yet).
Thank you for making this tutorial! Do you know if there’s a way that we can attach a texture layer on top the of frame without compromising its usability? I’ve been adding a separate contour type of layer to the top of my custom frames, but I’m hoping to learn a more efficient way to create these
Great useful demo and tips. Thank you Colette! Please continue to go a little slower for true beginners. Loved the dancing at the end and the playful personality. If you can do a longer (slower) extended demo of the text-on-poster effect in your YT Shorts, that would be much appreciated. Just subscribed.
Thank you so much for your feedback. This channel is my "hobby project", so I am exploring different ways to share learning. This video was not intended for beginners. I tend to support creatives who are intermediate to advanced. However, it is good to know that beginners can find value in it. Thank you!
Oh dear! I have never experienced this before. How frustrating for you. Some quick questions: 1. What device are you using (mobile/desktop), and have you tried on another device? 2. Are you: a. Hitting delete immediately after upload b. Selecting individual layers before hitting delete? 3. Are you selecting the shape from the shape dropdown menu (03:06) before saving it as a PDF. Could you add a shadow to the shape layer in photoshop? I want to make a mockup and add some depth to it. Like the page crease of a book for example

This is such a gorgeous comment! Thank you!!! I really need to get my next video up!!
can you show us how to create fresh new laptop , course bundles ,mobile phone, ipad from photoshop to canva
You can use the same steps. Use an image of the device you require, create a "shape" from the screen portion of the image and export as described. 😊
However, it is a good idea for a future episode. Thank you. 😊
