Crop dusters are common farm equipment ... they spread fertilizers across the fields. Was especially excited for this ep. Hope you're having a blast!!!!
As a kid in the late 1960's and early 70's, Agnes Water and 1770 was our fishing and surfing paradise. We lived about 2 hours away and all of the tracks were sandy and barely passable in a regular vehicle. Just driving to the place was an adventure. I recall plenty of flooded creek crossings and pushing cars through the deep sandy narrow tracks. Only local farmers had 4x4's (Series I and II exclusively) and they had small shacks that they used on weekends right on the beach at Agnes I am so happy that you got to see what to this day is my favourite place in the world.
Wow that must have been incredible! I ve heard similar stories about cairns. It s crazy to think how the places developed … wished it was a bit less busy though. But that s what it is! Loved reading you
Yet another great video. It’s great that you’re truly exploring the country and not skipping places most tourists would. Carnarvon Gorge is one of my favourite places in Queensland and I was just there in August.
@@NextMeridianExpedition I was there on my motorbike, next time I’ll take my Defender because logistically it took a lot of planning with fuel and food. But still worth it. It gets super busy across the country during school holidays, especially on the coast, so it’s good you saw FNQ when you did.
Local Knowledge for crossing the border into NSW that’s a bit scenic. A couple of options. Bearing in mind it’s September School Holidays. So a number of places will be busy(ish) 1. (What I’d do) Leaving Brisbane region, head to the Condamine River Rd near Boonah and cross 14 shallow creek crossings then on to Queen Mary Falls followed by over night stay at Cullendore High Country. Hot showers available. $20 a night. 2. Lions Rd crossing into NSW staying at the Sheep Station Creek Camp Ground. Love the Aussie series!
The little planes that fly low are used for many purposes, but as far as I'm aware it's to drop fertiliser over a wide area, quickly, and the scattering helps be more organic in process
As always, I love hearing Mathilde's voice giving us all the latest updates to the "Adventures of Albo and co-pilot Nick" (There is a new title for one of you cartoons)
The little plane looked to be a crop duster. Nick’s assistants assistant looked like happy to be helping and your campsites looked awesome also. It’s funny how a lot of people don’t know you can smell the difference between the country and the city. Can you feel the weight difference without the bracket for the starlink box?
We don’t really feel the difference of weight on the Driving. On the back door definitely. We were so concerned for our brackets in the long run… We will figure our something for storage. For now the box is in the « living tool » 😅😅😅
I have so enjoyed your world tour. I've learned a lot and find myself Googleing maps to supplement my journey with you. You are wonderful narrators. I hope that at the end of this world tour, you will be able to settle in to "normal" life without any symptoms of "withdrawal" from all of this excitement---I doubt it! Perhaps you will parlay this journey into your future careers. Best wishes, always.

Bonjour, hey there. Great to see your travels to Canarvan Gorge, and Blackdown Tablelands. The latter still being my favourite place. Well done (again) for fixing your selector linkage. We could certainly have done that easily enough on the property🙂🙂. If you want another beautiful mountainous area to go to then O'Reillys in Lamington Nat Park is a must go to stop for you guys. I have been there several times and can't get enough of it. There is an interesting story of a plane crash associated with the place too. ENJOY. God Bless. H. Ah, I see my name on your list now👍
Another great video. Always inspiring. I just got back from my first little trip for 5 days by myself on the smoky mountain 500. Mostly for motorcycles but I ran my Volvo C303 and had a blast! Cheers.
As many have pointed out the planes are Crop Dusters dusting the fields with insecticide very seldom do they use them to dust with fertilizer. I used to have several friends who own and operate crop dusting businesses. Here's a little tidbit of information when a crop dusting plane takes off they're so heavily loaded they can not land without damaging their landing gear until they drop part of their load of chemicals.
