    I’d disagree. I’ve worn both and found speed sessions are easier in the 3s. Both are great versions

    It’s not firm. Far from. I’ve had the 1’s, 2’s and 3’s and this is stable and bouncy with a nice midsole

    I just did my first ever marathon in these, 3:59, heel to mid foot striker, 82kg. Find them very comfortable, softer than the novablast 3s that i have done several half marathoms in.

    I too am confused by conflicting reviews. It’s true that a great deal of it could be subjective but folks that get to review shoes usually agree on some basic feel of a midsole upper etc.

      We are not saying it is a bad shoe - it's different from what we expected it to be (a versatile daily training).
      We have been reviewing shoes since 2009 and don't get them for free from the brands. Maybe people that really like do really like it. But maybe they can't really talk bad about something they got for free?

    Wait, what? Did you buy your Novablast 4 on Wish? It’s not firm in any way, and since it’s softer than Novablast 3 it works better as easy/recovery compared to 3 that worked better for uptempo.

    The only review I've seen so far that mentioned firm..just wondering, how many KM's have got in it?

    It really depends on footstrike. Heel strikers are lucky because they always benefit from high stack or cushioned shoes

    I already find novablast 3 to be pretty firm. Knowing that the 4th edition is firmer than the 3rd is a huge turnoff.

      I’ve heard the complete opposite from most other people. Not sure since I don’t own the 4s but I wouldn’t take what he’s saying for fact

    I think it favors heel strikers and thats why your not enjoying it as much as most people

    I've heard some reviewers say firm and others say softer than Novablast 3. If you don't mind, how much do you weigh?

    • @Runningshoesgurucom
      @Runningshoesgurucom  8 місяців тому

      It is not really about the weight. We tested every novablast since the first one and this is just firmer than them all.

      Novablast 3 hardness is 13.5 HA and Novablast 4 is 16.9 HA. It's not softer, but also not a huge difference. For comparison a Clifton 9 is around 20 HA.

    The problem is that your running style is so unusual (super on the toe with the heel barely ever touching the ground) that I don't think your experience is applicable to most other runners.

    • @maur_ice
      @maur_ice 6 місяців тому +1

      that sounds applicable to a lot of runners

      @@maur_ice probably true, but this guy's style is so unusual that I don't think it has.much in common with most runners out there. It's an outlier.

    • @Runningshoesgurucom
      @Runningshoesgurucom  4 місяці тому

      100 miles is more than breaking in. You shouldn't have to run the equivalent of 4 marathons for your shoes to feel like they should

    • @pete801
      @pete801 4 місяці тому

      @@Runningshoesgurucom most everyday running shoes are built up for durability etc. they need 50-100 miles to wear them in. 100 miles is the sweet spot. Superblast took me over 100 miles to break in.

      Not fair to say. Look at how he strikes the ground. Clearly a forefoot striker so his experience differs from the 80% or so runners that heel strike and get all that good cushioning
