Camera or no camera, undersize and uneatable have to go back, and don't try the old got no quota they go back, really you think the big companies have no quota? And the team he worked for fished off the beach they used to cull the fish into different boxes so t hey didn't have a big over catch they were cl OK self watched by fisheries officers too. The obvious problem in trawlers is they want to maximise their profit to keep that boat at sea so they haven't got the room to store over catch it would be good if they had like junior trawlers who could iff load the by product and make a living out of the by product so there wasn't any waste production How you do that is another issue
Why is this kind of fishing still happening? The politicians aren't doing their job. The government must change the type of nets these boats are using and make it lawful to instll cameras on every fishing boats, and impose heafty penalties for failure to comply or tampering with cameras.

There are cameras everywhere, people have been monited for years why not the fishing industry. You are taking the public's fish, wasting them as well. I would do a sight more than put camera's on boats, I would take to those trawlers with a gas axe, cut them up for recycling and make something decent out of them. At the very least I would ban drag nets of all types and limit the size of fishing boats to 20 metres, and if dumping was found, you would lose your boat for good. Also the commercial fishing sector would lose their fish finder's, the public would get to keep theirs because of the damage commercial fishing has done to our ocean's. Aren't ya just glad I'm not in power. Before you have a crack at me for going to the fish shop, I don't, I don't eat a fish unless I catch it myself.

This has been happening for years, even for ammeter fishermen, have bag and side limits, bump the non compliant, dump and substitute with compliment

As a teacher I have never felt safer than when monitored by multiple cameras. If you don't break the rules there is no problem
