    Simply gruesome to cut trees in the middle of climate crisis. Question: what do the local authorities and also politicians say about this to their defence. Direct contact, I mean. What's their response? If they keep silent, it's a clear sign of criminal corruption. It's said, politicians should be the voice channel of the people. Think and act what's the best for the people. Trees are the only nature tools to filter air pollution, CO2, from cars and traffic in millions with growing amount. As I've said before, Greenpeace needs an anti-car campaign. Trees give shade, esthetic health (research showed greens increase human health) and so many other benefits. This is why I demand clear answers: what do your local authorities say? There is no excuse saying planting new trees: trees need a human lifetime to grow big enough.

    🙏 more and more people spending time enthasium or spending most of earned at life to protecting NZ nature.... Everyone living or visited Aotearoa should thinking back what this great land of long cloud was giving. Only if vistited some times we must end of live thinking back and giving some back if not able at living... Predator free and hose animals under controll would be saving most of birdlife.... also foresting not on quickly money or right farming NZ know to do! European are fighting against destruction, they feel since long what was made wrong...

    Those resources are going to come from somewhere. If its not coming from the deep sea, then its going to come from mines on land. The places these nodules are found are pretty low in biomass, so while it sounds incredible to say "there's a million species here", there are likely very few animals affected. The amount of organisms killed or driven out by mining on the surface would be far more. On top of that, this is all in international waters. Even if western countries pass laws to stop this, other countries will do it anyway. The area of the ocean we are talking about is far too big for any nation to police, especially when a lot of them are out in the middle of a vast ocean. Efforts would be better spent making sure this is regulated properly and minimizes impact as much as possible.

    What you are forgetting is that "you" nor most the rest of us have any control over how AI is developed. That task lies in the hands of few and that's exactly what scares me about it. That's a lot of power over humanity for only a few people to be highly involved with all thw associated choices made.

    3 random thoughts for today 1. Taxonomy and stewardship of nature were the first recorded professions given to man, to Adam. 2. Recreation = re creation, which is exactly how we feel after walking in a thriving area of nature. This is so because we are in touch with the creation of The Master, and it's the best natural stimulant for our eyes, ears, body and mind. It's a place of raw inspiration for ecologist, photographer, composer, theologian, inventor alike. 3. Ugly pines can be a really productive way of quickly producing great biomass of humus and kickstarting native forest regeneration, especially if they are felled to waste, poisoned or harvested with adequate weed follow up. Kia Kaha, Hugh.

  • @stephenking4170
    @stephenking4170 Рік тому

    It's a privilege to be immersed in God's nature and know all the fellas and fellesses (species) in a wild natural ecosystem. It gives you a deeper awareness and an ability to look at not only patterns of communities that reflect the land beneath, but the relationships and changes over time. Nature rejuvenates us. We have recreation there because we feel recreated in wild nature. This is because it is the work of the Master and the best stimulant for our eyes, mind, imagination and soul. No wonder it feels like the 5th dimension. There are a few virgin areas of the Waitakere Ranges that serve as windows into the past and as reference points from which the regenerating areas can be understood. Sadly this jewel of Auckland is under siege from the green aliens, ginger, Bangalow palm and the like. West Auckland needs a big wake up if Waitakere is to survive. P.S. have you got Drosera binata from the Waitakere Ranges?
