What caught my attention in your video was the Peter Luger Credit Card. I haven't seen a restaurant that has its own credit card. There's a link to the application on their website, but I'm unsure if the card is for all locations or just New York. The fine print says the balance needs to be paid in full upon receipt of statement. There's no stretching out payments for your steak dinner for a year. Maybe I'll apply just for the novelty of having one.
Steak houses are expensive but worth it. Yes, we can all cook a steak at home for a fraction of the cost, but it is not the same quality. The ambiance and experience is everything in regard to special occasions. Customer excellence means everything, and we deserve to treat ourselves to something meaningful.
Disagree. The ambience there doesnt seem that good at all to me to be honest, I have prettier plates at home. I made a great wagyu steak dinner of a 100usd proper wagyu ribeye for 4 persons last weekend, and excellent sides with it. Also because the wine is much, much cheaper at the home, the whole cost was about 180us for 4 people, while at these expensive Steak houses it would have been closer to 1000.
You need to go back and try the lunch menu. One of the best burgers I ever had! Those German potatoes were not our favorite either. But the french fries are great. As were the mushrooms. I have dined there 4 times and have truly enjoyed the steaks and multiple other menu items.
I've eaten the Peter Luger in NYC many years ago, it was good but not spectacular like I'd hoped. I'll try this location in Vegas when I'm back in Sin City.
Peter Luger's has been on my list for a while now... I'll have to try it one day! Also random question, out of all the countries you've been to, which one is the most friendly towards you filming?
Honestly the best steakhouse I've been to in Vegas was not in a place you'd expect, the Luxor. It's almost like a hidden gem that gets overlooked simply because a lot of people look down on the Luxor itself. I'd love to see your thoughts on it Chris, maybe make that your next steakhouse review in Vegas. It's called Tender.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the review. The steak and bacon looks delicious, but is a little pricey. But I would give it a try just to say I tried it out. Take care.
We ate at stanton social prime at Caesars palace last time we were in Vegas and it was good. It was really expensive though and we had comps. So I wouldnt eat it again if we didn't have comps
The reason you aren't thrilled is they 'broil' they steaks in 1500 degree broilers but there is no real wood or charcoal used. I prefer direct wood burning fire over my steaks when I';m paying $164 for a steak. There are some high end Vegas steak houses that do use wood as main source of cooking. Was it or wet aged? I assume dry aged. I';m not a big fan of their steak sauce either--it';s too tomatoey (not a word) for me and they use anchovies and tamarind in their sauce. I prefer A1 with raisins and orange essence.
Took my kids to Luger in Brooklyn 2022. We had a great experience because we were vacationing from Az. We went for the experience but I had better steak in Az.
Oh Wow! Late 20’s Chris making a cameo! I’m sorry, but there is only SO much you can do with something like steak but that’s just WAY too much for something This basic…Now, an almost $200 Italian meal? Yeah, I’ve done that a couple of times
Exactly.. everyone can cook a steak at home .. Just get dry aged , shipped to your home .. Not hard to make a great steak dinner .. (costly and timely) which is why people eat out .. lol . Showed this to my wife and she proclaimed.. WE are going to Longhorn!!
Hello, how are you? I am a regular viewer of your UA-cam channel. I came here to say that- Your content is always engaging and incredibly well-presented!" Good luck to you.
You can get a better steak at Longhorn Steakhouse, for one fourth the price! Where they don't serve their steak on a lava hot plate... that continues to cook your medium rare steak to extra well done! 🤣 Peter Luger and Ruth's Chris... overrated and overpriced crap! Don't fall for it... put them out of business.
Great review Chris. Thank you
My pleasure Claire!
Thanks for the info + video!

Hah. Indeed.. not many restaurant credit cards anymore

Outback steakhouse is awesome and less expensive, princess can get joeys sirloin for $9.99 on kids menu 🎉❤

I agree with this
Thanks for the suggestion of the burger.
I'll put the burger on my "to eat" list 😀

Probably Japan is the most friendly towards filiming
Interesting, I've had pretty good success with filming in Japan as well. Although 2 restaurants didn't let me film on my trip this past year.

Pricey indeed! But yes. We are suckers for trying something new :)
looks like ya need to book a Tokyo trip!
Indeed 😀

Thanks for the report!
15 years ago going to an ATM in that area was a breeze, you should’ve tried 25 years ago and I probably would have been called to the scene lol
Hah
Some call it char, most call it burnt
Hah

Why not do a true coast to coast comparison, Peter Luger vs. Lowry's in Beverly Hills?
Mmm
Took my kids to Luger in Brooklyn 2022. We had a great experience because we were vacationing from Az. We went for the experience but I had better steak in Az.
The bacon looks more like ham. I have never had it that thick, even Canadian bacon.

Peter Luger is overrated even in NYC. For 160+ I would take 2 people to bacchanal.
🤯 $164.00!!! for two?! 🤯
Yeah.. indeed

$160!! You can get Wagyu for less! I went to Wolfgang Puck's Cut (? I think it's called that) and had Wagyu for less. It wasn't as big. 😁
You can get AYCE A5 Japanese Wagyu at Chubby Cattle for $75.00……I am with you on this one, Peter Lugar's isn't that impressive.

I was not impressed with Peter Luger's over all, I think Barry's Prime or Oscar's is a far better option…..
: )

barrys at Circa >
I've had a better steak at home and steakhouses elsewhere. The service was very disappointing, location zero charm.
Another Vegas Rip Off.
Overrated and overpriced. Mastro has better value and better quality steak.
stupid expensive. never worth it
overrated and over reviewed
