I enjoyed the review. But if you had a 16 year old BMW or Benz you would have spent 1/2
the original price on repairs. Both BMW and Benz are excellent cars that you trade in the week before they go off warranty. The Equus and Genisis have excellent reliability.
You missed an opportunity to crack a joke. You could have pointed out that the Equis Ultimate allows you to send directions to the driver from the back seat thereby making you truly a backseat driver. :D
Sam, let me inform you the significance of the 'bird' emblem since you obviously didn't do your homework. It's actually a Pegasus which makes perfect sense for the emblem. Tired of 'reviewers' who play with buttons and drive the car around the block, and then believe they're qualified to tell us about any given car.

Well, they us more about the car than we know... its not significant to know what the emblem 'means' to sell the car, than knowing that the car, especially the older model, the year before had a seat vibrator in it, than what the bird means. Do you know why RR, even have a bird on its hood, in the first place? Really, its insignificant, thats why he didn't speak on it! Can you sell me the car? You certainly won't persuade me to buy it because you told be what the bird means! Or anyone else. Have a beautiful day...

If the reviewer only knew that that once 70K msrp vehicle would now be worth 18K with about 55-65K mileage. Lol...I agree with what he said at the end. But at 18K used, def worth it. Now the new 2020 G90 look like they may have added a bit of personality to it and it's MUCH more refined. But I'd wait until 2024 to buy that one, as well. Haha

I own both a Genesis and a Equus those are great cars while everything Mercedes and BMW offers for half of the price
Except for the fact that people who own the Equus today are seeing all kinds of reliability issues, things falling apart, sensors going nuts, and spending $10k to replace their entire air suspension many times even before the car reaches 100k miles. The Equus seems like a great deal on the used car market..until these problems arise. No wonder they killed it off. Unlike a Hyundai Sonata..it's just not reliable and have incredibly expensive repairs at the dealership.
@@Nightbird. I own a 2012 ultimate it's 2020 now and is running great and every thing works. Friends of mine h=who have BMW's and Mercedes are cursing the repair cost. So I think I made out paying almost 40k less for a more reliable lux sedan.
@@watron12 That's the problem. Everyone has a story on ownership and there is no clear path. On the Equus/Genesis forums and facebook pages..I have seen too many people regret buying them when the problems arise and Genesis customer service treats them like they purchased a cheap Hyundai instead of a "premium" vehicle at a higher cost. I myself test drove a loaded Equus and was very disappointed with the cheap feeling leather, fake looking wood veneers, and jittery/nervous ride quality. But most of all the very hard seats that gave me and my passenger back aches after only 10 minutes of test driving it. I was hoping the Equus could be my cheap luxury car for grocery store errands or to go to they gym..but not if my back aches driving it.
I usually only drive Mercedes Benz S Classes. Have for decades. So do half the people in my family..and the other half drive BMW's. And guess what? We have great ownership experiences and laugh when people say "You're going to pay a lot more maintaining a MB than a Genesis"..the same way a Ferrari owner laughs when a Corvette owner says the same thing. Why? Because just like the Ferrari owner knows he drives a work of art compared to a Corvette with much better performance..we MB & BMW owners know our cars were quality from the start decades ago..give more luxury and features..and just feel more solid with better materials in and out. And by the way..usually the people complaining that MB & BMW are unreliable and expensive to maintain are usually people who bought them used, cheap and poorly maintained to begin with. If you buy them either new, CPO or with maintenance records they treat you well. Glad you enjoy your Hyundai..but I'll stick to MB.

Garbage vehicle. So unreliable it's not even funny. On the Equus forums & FB pages, you find owners regretting ever purchasing this lemon when their air suspensions fail with vehicles that barely have 75k miles on them, and their repair bill averages $1500.00 PER WHEEL for ORIGINAL Hyundai air suspension parts (not talking about the cheap Chinese ones that break down even faster but that most people buy because they can't afford the original parts). Then you have the issue of the Pre-Collision and other safety systems not working. Again, on Equus forums & FB pages you have owners complaining how their Equus didn't warn them of an impending crash, didn't take evasive maneuvers as Hyundai says it will, and even air bags that didn't deploy. Aside from those serious issues that could kill you..you have seats that hurt your back after 10 minutes of sitting. Cheap and fake looking leather, wood applique, and plastic controls. And a ride that felt nervous and jittery..instead of smooth and luxurious as advertised. Save your money and buy something that is really luxurious and not this POS. It's no wonder Hyundai killed it. Korean junk at it's finest. Too bad some people have no idea what real luxury is so they think this POS is "quality"..lol. A sucker really is born every minute. 🙄
You literally going to every video on the equus to hate on it because it's a good car seriously get a life. If I want to buy it or anyone else does then you shouldn't judge them because you think german is master race.
The reliability of this car is infinitely closer to Lexus levels then anything coming out of Europe or the USA. Your laughable paragraph free obsessive venomous ludicrous RANT is hilarious, so much hate. Let me guess, you know hundreds of people who own this car in order for your claim to be taken seriously.
