My favorite videos are with rough seas and cloud cover with character. Beautiful display of nature’s power.
What wonderful footage of the rough lake waves, and of a very dramatic looking sky! Of course it is always great to see/hear a freighter’s arrival, as well. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you! I do really appreciate those rough weather arrivals
Oh man that is an awesome sky for a timelapse.
Thanks!
Great camera angles Paul! The lake was mighty angry that day for the Algoma Niagara...⚓
It sure was, I was actually surprised they came it at all! Earlier in the day it was really bad.
The water is high in the canal and high waves coming in with the ship. The one view where the Niagra just enters the canal and the camera shows the waves in the distance rolling in to shore was a great shot. Thank you Paul
Thanks!
The lake looked a little upset. It wouldn't feel so fun being on a boat in that water unless, of course, you enjoy roller coasters.
Oh boy! Tug boat challenge! Did I imagine someone on the incoming ship looking for the Dramamine?🥴
LOL, even in real time you could see it "bob" in the canal.
Nothing wrong with a little chop. Don't turn your back on that stern wave, folks.
LOL, many people have been surprised by that!
That was real beauty. Is the canal always that choppy in the spring? Like in May. That’s some angry water.
I feel its been a little more inclement this year than normal in the past years. Technically it is a "stormy" month in Duluth.
That's quite the heave in the canal, there. 😬
It was very fun to watch! I was surprised the ship came in. Normally they wait this out until later in the evening when it calms down more.
Big waves, what year are the North and South walkways to the lighthouses bean built
I believe started in 1929 with the building of the bridge.
How doya speed up the ship & water, but not the clouds?
😁 Clouds were as you see them, When I speed it up, its all or none.
No salute?
That's my favorite part 🌹⚓
No Salute, pretty sure they were concentrating on sailing this time.
Tell them to switch to country music >>>>they won't be rocking and rolling
Ouch! 😂
That isn't rough. Come in the opening in worse with my pleasure boat.
