I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know! It means a lot to me to hear this. I am also a UA-cam, show-me kinda guy, so I can relate to your husband. And, the directions that came with this were just awful. Enjoy your crawfish! :-)
One of hte reasons I love making howto videos! If I can save someone the same frustration that I went through it is worth the time and effort to make the video!
You right about the installation. I also had a bolt for the lid Missing. The burner was also low quality, it was light wait metal. Model Tf2005101-og_01. Thought this was a good sale price. But not the quality I was expecting. But it how we grown to see, by depending on items purchased out side of the USA. Not saying we here in the USA are perfect. But I've run in to these issues many times. Thanks for the how to video.
I agree, it wasn't until after I had already put it together that I decided to take it back apart and make a video showing how to put it together because the directions were terrible. Glad to have helped.
Thanks. Glad you decided to make the video, I would have never put my fryer together without your help. I was already piss off, because I could not find the nuts that was already on the assembly. The instructions said nothing about that. Again Thanks a lot. Ted Wilson, Denton, TX
Thank you sir, had mine stored after opening years ago and never assembling. I didn’t have the manual at all, this video was on point, successful setup I’m ready to break it in tomorrow
Omg I'm glad not the only one that thought the instructions were too much. Way too much detail that doesn't make sense. You've saved me hours on Thanksgiving Eve before my first fried turkey. You're a Godsend!
Thank you so much! I've had this fryer sitting in the box for three years...never opened until now but I really didn't understand the assembly instructions. Needed this!
I cannot emphasize enough how helpful this was! I have the bass pro shop turkey fryer set model: TF1008-013305-I and this helped me get the hard part done! Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I forgot how to assemble it (we put it together last year). I was close. Didn’t have the heat shield on bottom and thermocouple is not how you show. Very useful video!
I love the video! One less excedrine I have to take today. But.... why does it say to leave three threads exposed instead of tightening it all the way?
glad to be of help to someon else with this darn thing, bang on the subscribe button it will help a lot just like you wanted to bang on that darn turkey fryer
I have a similar model. I prefer the older model that didn't have the Auto - Shut off valve Timer control box. Thanks instructions were making me "crazy".
Thanks for the video, I have a dual jet burner too. If I hadn't have found your video I was just gonna throw this damn Bass Pro BS burner away and use my dual jet.... the instructions was worthless. Thanks again!
Hey how's it going man! Thanks for the video! Question though, why do we leave THREE visible threads? It looks like in your video the burner was secured very tightly.
Hahaha! Made me watch my own video! I'll have to go with what I said in the video because I believe what I said, that I left three visible threads. My guess is it either has to do with spacing or they want to make sure you don't strip the threads by over tightening, either way I'm a follow the rules kind of guy so I did what they said. :-)
Looks like they also can be very dangerous. Thankfully, I'll be using mine to brew beer so I won't have the danger of heating oil to worry about. I remember Mom and Dad frying everything from donuts to onion rings to french fries and other stuff on the stove top. Do you do any deep fat frying? Thanks for watching and the comments!
i'm thinking it may be a spacing concern or a concern about people over tightening it, don't know for sure; i was just following directions there and what i've seen elsewhere
What happens when you carefully give it one more full revolution? Without me actually seeing and doing it, it is difficult to see what you have done. You could always take it back and exchange it.
Les Waller I'll try giving it one more turn tonight. Just to be clear though, you left 3 threads exposed and it was tight to the timer housing? Mine is not and there is about a 1/2 inch gap from the timer to the screw bracket. What would happen if I were to not have 3 threads and make it tight?
I am pretty sure that it was not tight and I left 3 threads exposed. Mine did not feel loose, though, either. It didn't wiggle or have much freeplay. I do not know what would happen if you turned it until it was tight; the manufacturer would be the best to ask that question. I like following directions as they usually have them for a valid reason, they just don't explain what the reason is behind it. If you feel it is too loose at 3 threads, take it back where you bought it and/or ask them what their experience is with the burner.
Those threads are not used to form a gas tight seal. The gas is emitted from an orifice in the end of the threaded fitting. The threads are simply to align the burner to the timer assembly and leaving a few threads showing ensures the threads don’t get stripped and also allows a little play in the two assemblies so everything will self align. I’m the Chinese guy that wrote the instructions .
A specific gadget for frying turkeys - I never knew such a thing existed. Not a washer in sight so a periodic retightening will probably be required but at least that probably increased the manufacturer's profit by 0.1 cent.
What was really nice is it was dirt cheap, about $20 or $30 and it works great for brewing beer. The problem I had was that my pots need to be big and the bottoms were convex so on a flat electric stovetop it was almost impossible to bring the wort to a boil. So, the turkey fryer can really reduce the time it takes me to brew the beer. Brew day still takes about 4 hours as it is.
Unfortunately, I'm a simple user and can only guess at this. First thought is the gas turned on all the way? Second thought would be to question the propane tank that you are using. Ah, the turkey fryer comes with a safety timer to automatically turn the gas off after so many minutes, is it turned all the way on? Perhaps, take it back to where you got it and get a replacement turkey fryer or call their help desk. Sorry, if this isn't much help. Let me know what you do or find out.
My pleasure! Once I saw the lack of detail in the instructions and felt the frustration it was going to cause I realized I should share the process so others wouldn't be as frustrated. Thanks for the comments and if you would share the video that would be great! Cheers!
Not a problem, I'm here to help the next person out as best as I can! I just realized why I'm getting so much attention. Thanksgiving is this week! Fry them turkeys!
yes i am its out side with fire precaution ( sand and dirt. lol ) and away from my home . also i have 3 gallons of peanut oil. will that be enough for a 14 lb turkey
No problem, I agree with you, and neither you or I were laughing when we tried to follow those instructions. Thanks for taking the time to comment! :-)
My pleasure and I've asked the store manager if they could send folks my way with any products people are having trouble putting together, maybe I can help more people and make more videos. :-)

My brother I thank you....it is T'giving eve and attempting to assemble from instructions....epic fail. You are the GOAT for this. Thank you so much.
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Glad to be of help!
Thank you so much. I brought this fryer 8yrs ago as a gift and just took it out of the closet with no instruction manual
Glad to be of help!!! Hit that subscribe button out to help us out, thanks!
My husband is forever grateful for your video. He does not read directions well. He is a UA-cam, show-me kinda guy. Now, we can enjoy our crawfish!

Oops! Forgot I was signed in with my gaming channel, hehehe.
Wow, what a helpful video this was! No surprise how many views its has received, this video saved many people from agonizing frustration!

Thank you so much! Got mine at a yard sale. No instructions at all! You are wonderful for sharing!
always glad to help
Thanks. Glad you decided to make the video, I would have never put my fryer together without your help. I was already piss off, because I could not find the nuts that was already on the assembly.
The instructions said nothing about that. Again Thanks a lot. Ted Wilson, Denton, TX
Glad to be of help! It's comments like yours that have me make these videos whenever I get the chance. Thanks!!!
Thank you sir, had mine stored after opening years ago and never assembling. I didn’t have the manual at all, this video was on point, successful setup I’m ready to break it in tomorrow
Great! Glad to be of assistance!
I would like to know the price of the turkey fryer
Watching your instructions now. How do you keep the flamer burning?
When I brewed my beer I had to restart it, if memory serves me right.
I couldn't even find the instructions to assemble. Thank you so much!
Glad to help!!!
I think you saved the virgin ears of my neighbors. They thank you as well as I.
Thankfully, my neighbors walls are very thick, hehehe! You are welcome!
Thank you. This helped more than their instructions.
Yes, there instructions were terrible and that's being generous.
Omg I'm glad not the only one that thought the instructions were too much. Way too much detail that doesn't make sense. You've saved me hours on Thanksgiving Eve before my first fried turkey. You're a Godsend!
I'd love to make more videos like this, I just need to find a store manager that would let me take stuff home, assemble it, and return it.
Your instructions are so much better....thank you. You have a lovely home by the way.
thanks! if you could subscribe that would help immensely, either way have a great day!
Thanks for the info, exactly where my instructions lacked
Can you turn the timer so it can just keep cooking? Instead of timing for only 15 minutes?
It doesn't look that way. I had to restart it in the middle of my boiling my wurt for a beer brew, as well.
Your video is a life saver, I don't see how this instructions even passed inspection. Thanks again!
Thanks! I'm so happy that I've made a difference to people!
I never used this until now and years later, you're still saving us, thanks.
The funniest part is I bought this so I could brew beer in July and didn't even think about what would happen come November.
Thank you so much! I've had this fryer sitting in the box for three years...never opened until now but I really didn't understand the assembly instructions. Needed this!
You are very welcome! I am so happy to have been able to help so many with this.
Much appreciated, sir! This video helps people just not for one year, but for years and years... thank you so much! Worked perfectly
Glad to have been of assistance!!!
Much love for the video! My instructions page was supposed to be page 12 but page 12 was just a copy of page 6 lololol.
Oh, man! That would've stressed me out! Glad to have given a helping hand!
I cannot emphasize enough how helpful this was! I have the bass pro shop turkey fryer set model: TF1008-013305-I and this helped me get the hard part done! Thank you!

Yep, glad to be of help! I've done the same things on stuff I only do once in a great while. Check UA-cam and watch that video again.
Not all heroes wear capes!!!
You are truly awesome!!
Thank you for this video!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
then you can be my hero and smash the heck out of that subscribe button, it would help immensely
I love the video! One less excedrine I have to take today. But.... why does it say to leave three threads exposed instead of tightening it all the way?
That is a very good question. My guess is that if you over tighten it you will permanently damage it.
Thank you, this helped tremendously. Now to figure out how to light it.
Glad to help!!! Be safe and have a wonderful holiday!
Just bought one EXACTLY like that.
I thought it was ME having trouble with the "Directions"
Thank You
glad to be of help to someon else with this darn thing, bang on the subscribe button it will help a lot just like you wanted to bang on that darn turkey fryer

Never knew you could get a Turkey fryer very interesting Les.

You, sir, are Awesome! It's the best instruction I've seen. Thanks
Glad to be of help! :-)
Sir! You are the true MVP! Thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks! Now off to assemble.
You're welcome! Good luck!!!
Thank you so much! The instructions were ridiculous! This was so simple!!
Glad to be of help! :-)
why do you leave the cast iron burner loose?
i'm thinking it may be a spacing concern or a concern about people over tightening it, don't know for sure; i was just following directions there and what i've seen elsewhere
Help! I leave the 3 threads and the burner is loose to the timer. It can't be right??? I feel like gas will be leaking everywhere. Is this right?
What happens when you carefully give it one more full revolution? Without me actually seeing and doing it, it is difficult to see what you have done. You could always take it back and exchange it.

What happens when the timer go off and do the fire go out
Yes the fire goes out. I had this happen while brewing my beer. :-(
Thank you, good sir.,. saved me from cursing it out and throwing it in the trash.,.
Happy to be of some assistance!!!
Thank you for the video!!!! i looked at the instructions and almost threw the fryer away 😂😂😂
Yes! Sometimes the instruction we get with things are soooo terrible. Glad to be of help!
I am very satisfied, THANKS for visual instructions!!!!!!
You are VERY welcome! :-)
Great job!!!!!!

I did your instructions step by step but gas will not stay on. Will run for about 15-20 secs and shut off
