hey! if you're still curious, I pulled the original model from hl2 and then using pepakura made rough flattened shapes of all the parts that I could cut out of foam, cleaned the shapes up to make them rounder, add more detail and fit my body, then glued them all together and painted them over the course of about a month (crunch time before the con), the whole project took about a year of on off work and would not have been possible without the help of Zachary from rogue workshop here on youtube
